I was debating on making a master master pistoleer (all the pistol skills and certs in game: master pistoleer, bh pistols 4, dirty fighting 4 and novice commando). Can you tell me the differences between the two shots and why you feel health shot 2 is better than the BH bleed shot (does it do more damage? only really relevant fact, since I already hit at speed cap and play buffed).

HS2 has a 3x damage modifier, whereas bleed shot has a 2x. I would suggest bleed shot only for PvP at the beginning of the fightto try to get a mind bleed on your opponent. However, if you keep going up the BH tree, I would suggest replacing HS2 with torso shot. They both have the same damage multiplier, but torso shot has a more powerful DoT.

bleed shot does mind damage, health shot does health

so in pvp definatly use bleed, also use torso if you have it so it forces them to waste more mind to heal themselves....and keep spammin eye shot....

unless their not buffed...then use stopshot and be done with them quickly

The BH special, i think its torsoshot, is way better then pistoleer healthshot2. I'm not sure about the initial damage, but a straight MBH with torsoshot vs straight MP can do more damage per tic with tosroshot. And it does a hell amount of wounds. In PvP, with no buffs, this is great, cause it cuts down their max pools fast. I hate being set on fire by BH.

Let's compare...

Let's take a pistol with 100-200 damage and a speed of 3 (we'll call it the Example Blaster 50 hehe). Then take 3 scenarios... A beginner with only +30 speed bonus, a veteran with +80, and then someone who maxes out the speed with +100.

Going to the Damage Calculator, we see the following results:

At +30 speed the most damaging attack is Healthshot1 with a DPS of 214.3. Healthshot2 has a DPS of 169.2 and Torsoshot has a DPS of 139.8. Clearly if you're slow the Torsoshot really sucks.

At +80 speed things change a lot. Healthshot2 now has a DPS of 592.1 and is almost capped at speed. Healthshot1 only has a DPS of exactly 450 (and is now capped at speed). Torsoshot is now better than Healthshot1 at DPS 489.1 but is still inferior to Healthshot2.

Let's see what happens at +100 speed when everything caps (a pistoleer/BH often gets that high or higher). Healthshot2 is at 675, but so is Torsoshot. Healthshot1 is still at 450, because it hit the speed cap some time ago.

So... Torsoshot is never better than Healthshot2, and only matches it when you hit the speed cap on both specials. Healthshot1 is better than either if you're really slow.

Note that Bleedshot is to Healthshot1 what Torsoshot is to Healthshot2... Bleedshot is always worse than Healthshot1 until you hit the cap on both, in which case they are equal in DPS.

Torso shot is better than health shot 2 when speed is capped simply because the DoT is much better. Also, at low speeds, torso shot isn't even an option, so you'll have to go with either HS2 or HS1

just for the sake of argument, if you have torso shot..... you'll have LOT more than just 30 pistol speed (i think it's something like 35 from master marksman alone)

and if you're going by DPS, you might as well use fanshot, stopping shot, or eyeshot, but we're counting bleeds as well

the DOT in healthshot2 is utterly, and completely useless in most situations, but torso shot's fire DOT is really useful

Fan shot and stopping shot are all over the place though, they don't target a specific pool. Eyeshot is nothing more than a slower version of healthshot2 (2.0 spd and 3x damage vs 1.9 spd and 3x damage), the only reason anyone ever uses it right now is because it's so hard to heal mind.

well for the sake of my sanity Torsoshot+ healthshot2 is superior to either one used by them selfs cause if u have an average pistol ur most likley gonna have 2.5speed on it thus the cap if u have both bh pistol4 and at least novice pistoleer so u use healthshot2 for the bleed then start shooting them with torso for the fire dot hell then u could bleed shot them see my point.

Healthshot2 and Torso are better because they are pool specific. Bleeding shot hits a random pool but bleeds all three. I uses to start off with my mod republic then, bleedingshot, healthshot2, torsoshot then stopping shot or torso shot to finish them off (PvE). In PvP I would start off the same but use eyeshot to finish the job.
