If it's a DL44 metal pistol it should convert to the DL44-XT. They said in the patch notes that they "renamed" the DL44 Metal, and introduced a NEW craftable DL44 metal for master marksman. Why anyone would WANT the master marksman one is beyond me, but yours should be the Master level pistol, unless it's black, in which case you're boned.

The LEAST they could do is look at the it's damage and turn it into one with comprable damage.
Hey, they said that no weapons will be made worse. Everything will convert, I mean, even dot weapons will get damage increases in relation to how good their dots are. If you have a Krayt DL44 thats black, it will be just as good post-CU. I'm pretty sure it will just be another case of the "Pre-Nerf FWG5" Yours will be awesome, but any newly made ones will not be all that great.
However, You will have to be certed for it, but thats at Pistols3 anyway, so I don't think that's an issue

I won't have Master Marksman and I'll be really pissed if I can't use my pistol.
We should at least get a choice as to which version it's converted to. Like the first time you equip it it pops up a window and gives you the choices.
I "think" the black DL44 is the pistols3, the Metal DL44 is Master Marksman, and the DL44XT is Master Pistoleer. Gonna check when I get on TC, but you should be ok.
On tc I have Pistols3 and am currently using the Black DL44 and it has the Barrel and the scope is the offcenter one, which I think is base on it now.
So, I'm pretty sure you're ok...
But if I'm wrong, won't I look like an a$$ rofl

Q: If noob weapons can only be made with basic parts, what happens to the weapons we've made with high end parts? I've made a bunch of nym and krayt enhanced D-18's and DL44's and I enjoy using them.But if they become useless due to a massive damage nerf....

Well, if it's of any comfort to you, imagine how pissed off a person with an exceptional Striker pistol will be.
So much for my Krayt scout blaster
But on the other hand, my pre nerf FWG5s should be all good.
