Thread: Knockdown (pistol whip)
Why not make the chance that knockdown works proportional to your skill with the weapon in hand and inversely proportional to the creatures knockdown defense?
High level mob could only be knocked down by people with high knockdown skill. If the devs think a mob should be very hard to knock down, they just give it lots of knockdown defense.
Its simple, effective and the code seems to be there already (more or less). Seems to make a whole lot more sense and be more managable than the blanket 50% or no spam or ... other fixes that they are/have/will try.
The more I think about it, the more I like it.

You are incorrect sir. The only thing that upsets me is people who disagree but don't support thier argument in any way and when challenged to do so pull in all kinds of irrelevant fact and sophistry in order to make themselfes look correct.
You cannot point to a single post where I have 'been a jerk' to anyone who wasn't acting like a child.
I, on the other hand can point to several of my responses to people who have disagreed with me, in a sane understandable manner wherein I sometimes even agree with said dissident.
Its comments like yours, on the other hand that I take offense with. Just because I don't put up with silly posts like yours and just because I challenge people whomake stupid (yes stupid) assertions doesn't make anything I have to say less valid nor does it make anything you have to say more valid.
If this is what you call a 'hissy fit' and why you called me a jerk, then I stand accused. I see no point in trying to argue with people who haven't learned the very basics of debate (assuming you don't call sophistry a 'basic of debate').

Artificially boost PvP knockdown defense (the way they are aritifially reducing PvP damge).
