By now Im sure we have all read the new 'imperial crackdown' patch goes live on Thursday 12th.. one week from now. In that Patch 3 new pistols will be available.. all on rare and limited run schematics. Im sure this has been covered at length but just as a note for everyone here they are and where they can be found:

Featherweight FWG5

Loc: Jabba Themepark - last reward

Notes: This weapon has low HAM costs, its fast. The damage is nothing to write home about, however with a good weaponsmith and a good slice it can be respected. The big news is it gives you counter attack +5 / Dodge +5 / Pistol Accuracy +5 when you have it equipped.

Modified Republic Blaster

Loc: Rebel Themepark - last reward

Notes: Well the bad news (for imperials & Neutralsat least) is this is a faction specific weapon. Sure you may find it for sale, but prices will be high. Stat wise its as good as the original Republic blaster we all know and love, however its big bonus is its a DoT weapon, doing bleed damage to health with 75% potency strength around a 100. Its a limited use weapon (i say that, we're talking 9000 uses) but its a good one to save HAM when doing bleeds especially when you will only be able to do ONE bleed per HAM per target after the patch.

Geonosian Sonic Blaster

Loc: Geonosian Dungeon - Yavin IV Loot drop (weapon or schematic)

Notes: Ok this is a tricky one, on the TC people have only looted this and no one (publicly) has looted the schematic but word is it does drop. On the looted examples the stats arent great, however with the schematic, good weaponsmith and slice, this weapon is going to cause composite wearing PvP monsters a nightmare. The reason? its stun damage kids! it also looks great and has a cool effect when fired, however its range is 48M.. ah well good with the bad..

What about those who have compeletedJabba & Rebel themepark?Do i have to complete the mission's again, to get the reward and is this even possible?

I dont remember which DEV mentioned it but you soon will be able to re-do missions by going to the mission recordkeepertype NPC and have them wipe your slate for that mission and I am guessing if you have finished the mission or it was broken how to get these rewards.

Makes me almost glad I havent run quest missions yet.

I hope the Genosian Sonic blaster has better stats than the tangle pistol which also does stun dmg but has sucky stats.

Thanks for the info!

On an aside someone I know looted a +6 to speed and mind poison charged pistol tonite on the live servers.Is this something new or am I just horribly unobservant?

is it possible to trade schematics that are looted.?

can i trade a featherweightFWg5 schematice to the weaponsmith i know? to make me a run

or is it auto matically go into mine?

i looted a SR combat pistol of the teraud guy that is in the huge bedroom quarters in the warren

it had...
+6 pistol accuracy while standing
+4 Pistol speed

its stats suck i haven't sliced it yet though im a master smuggler ill do it when i get a chance.

What about fixing the other weapons already in SWG? Maybe I'm being a bit picky about it, but what about making the weapons we've seen in the movies and come to love good enough rather than making up new ones. I'm sure its been said before too many times but as a Pistoleer I would like to at least have the opportunity to use Han's DL44 without being completely outmatched by everyone else in the game.

I agree certainly.. and in the coming combat revamp all the weapons are getting covered. In the meantime you can at least enjoy the fact we have some new wepons to play with... in fact 3 new weapons.. more than any other profession! with swordsman getting 2 and rifleman 1.

To answer some off the questions:

A: Yes Schematics are tradable

B: The Stats on the 'looted' Sonic blaster aren't much better than the Tangle pistol, however schematic produced blasters should be much better.
