The DE-10 is for real, folks. I posted earlier about the one I scored for a relative bargain price, stats:

Damage sliced and powered up. I had my first opportunity to try it out today and this thing would make Clint Eastwood proud. I was pulling level 25 faction missions on Corellia, and with no buff or armor was laying total waste to the 3-4 mobs that spawned, sometimes in as few as 5 shots (mobs that included Rebel Generals) with fanshot.
I'd been most concerned about the speed, but while I definitely wasn't capping, it didn't really matter. The fanshots were landing in the 3k range, and I think I was getting hit an average of 1-2 times per mission. Unfortunately with only AP1 it will probably not be entirely useful in PvP until the Combat Balance, but in PvE this gun owns.
With good buffs and decent armor, pistoleers can do ok camping the Black Sun mobs in the top couple rooms of the DW Bunker. Take your best DX2 and try to get some friends to group with you. It's not terribly hard to loot the schem and barrel (a couple of my guildmates on Bloodfin have looted them in just a couple trips to the Bunker). The biggest obstacle is keeping the SBDs out of your hair, but the Black Suns are pretty managable.
I can't say enough about the DE-10 pistol tho. Even though it's only AP1, this thing easily rivals most Laser Carbines I've seen, and I've heard of sliced Krayt DE-10s with max damage in the 600 range. Master Pistoleers owe it to themselves to try to score one of these. Plus it looks cool as hell

I mainly pvp so this pistol is no good to me right now... maybe after patch.. maybe.

It's nice .. but near impossible to get without a LOT of help as a pistoleer with the resists/armor of the DWB mobs.

Do you have to get the pieces and have it crafted in the DWB?

ok what parts do you need? i know you need the schematic and the barrel? which mobs drops those parts?

Schematic and Barrel are the only looted pieces needed. I'm not sure what else is required, resource-wise, from the Master Weaponsmith. Black Sun mobs should be the ones the schem and barrel.
As for a Pistoleer's chance of taking out the Black Sun guys... as a MBH/pistoleer 0030 on Bloodfin, I use a DX2 pistol with Torso shot to kill them. Healthshot 2 is very similar to Torso Shot in damage, DOT strength, and speed. I see no reason why combinations of Healthshot 2 and Stopping Shot (I wouldn't use Fanshot and run the risk of pissing things off in the next room) wouldn't be just as successful. Especially given a Master Pistoleer's superior defense to that of a Master BH. Just keep yourself healed or bring a friend to help.

This pistol is nice, but yet again it's energy , same as the Republic blaster. It's a slower version of the republic blaster but with a stronger firepower.
This still means forget about trying to knock a NS Protector/Elder/Weaver etc... Lot's of mobs are resistant to energy unfortunately.
Riflemen is another story since they can hit mind specifically but pistoleers are yet stuck again with random hams or the good old bugged Bodyshot2-3 /HS2.

I went once and used Fan Shot. Bad idea. . .Take it off your toolbar to avoid the risk.
Pistoleers are generally screwed. Not only do we not have the skills to do a lot, we never get the kills so getting the loot will be hard.
I am trying to plan a trip wiht my guild. It is hard to convince people though to let you get a schem and barrel when they can go peddle them in coronet for big bucks.
I am now a Master Doc so I am gonan try again with a macro spamming /heal self; wiht my stimpack E's. .

Does it have to be Black Suns in the DWB or can these schems spawn on black sun missions or regular black sun spawn?

Any Pistoleer can go down there and kill the highest lvl blacksuns. Get some 90% armor and a good DX2 and spam Stoppingshot/Healthshot2 or if your a smuggler last ditch works good. I can go down there until my buffs run out and kill stuff.

The hard part when it comes to looting by pistoleers is the fact that it is not about which group does the most damage as most people think.
Loot goes to the group of the person who had the single most high damage shot.
Example:
group A(20 people)attack a battle droid
An ungrouped rifleman with uber t21 takes a single shot at battle droid, doing more damage with that shot than any single shot of anyone in group B
Riflman peaces and chills, waiting for group A to destroy battle droid.
Rifleman loots.
This is the way it works folks, it is not about overall group damage.
This happens all the time. This is why it is a good idea to try to get in at least one good shot with your most powerful PVP weapon, with a PUP and your highest damage modifying special.
Pistoleers are noticably gimped in this area, which makes it hard for us to get loot.
