Thread: 30 second timer on knockdowns. Its coming

maybe i can stand a chance in a fight now, lol ill just pistol whip each of the guys once and see where i can go from there
im always outnumbered it seems when i hit a pvp combat situation....life should get less frustrating very soon
their also gonna drop the ham costs..... can i get a halaluja! *spelling on that one is wrong, but who cares, this is good news ![]()
And then they have to do something about the constant posture change spamming that has replaced knockdown for cheesy moves.

I bet ya a six pack they do not put ham cost back on knockdowns,
that would make too much sense
And the post said that they were decreasing the KD HAM costs, presumably to what they used to be, although they didn't say that.
It's too bad they couldn't find a better fix instead of resorting to a timer like that (I consider it to be a cop-out).
And the next thing they're going to realize is "Oh, Doh. You mean that dizzy attacks have the same basic problem?"
its unclear by holo's post if its 30 seconds of attacker being blocked from using knockdown spec again or 30 seconds of immunity to the target of the knockdown.
if its the former then it is just plain stupid since anyone with multiple knockdown moves could still spam it( and now at cheaper HAM costs.).
if itsa 30 sec immunity to the victim then it would be a good thing. at least pvp wise.
Nerfing more knockdowns without fixing knockdown defenses. yea thats just smart now isnt it.
I agree Cubble. The answer to balancing knockdowns isn't knocking them down with the nerf bat and beating them like crazy. I really think that if the Developers of this game would just look at the defensive bonuses classes are given and make them more effective this problem would be resolved.
As a pistoleer with master stances and gripsI get a +30 defense to knockdowns. If each point counted asa 1.5% or 2% chance to resist being knocked down outright, I wouldn't be complaining about being knocked down all the time because I'd resist it half the time. This is what we need, I think. That and add all the other dodge and defense modifiers into the situation.... Wow,a real fix.
