Hi

I was using fan shot with a DX2 2.6 sp 99 -123 dam against several piket plains walker.

It was fun hitting three huge creatures at a time when suddenly i started hitting for over 3000 and 2000 frequently.

And I said **edit**? I am not used to getting this damage as a pistoleer.

Call me noob but please just tell me what i did right?

4785 dmg on a lair with an FWG5.

That's my personal best. I didn't even notice the combat window. Think there's some kind of random "mega-dmg" chance modifier? A buddy of mine was using her scatter on something, forget what, but it was hitting for 1 dmg every time and it's resists wouldn't have warranted that.

Maybe it's some sort of lucky shot bonus?

That's pretty weird for a low damage pistol. My highest was a 6k+ stopping shot with a high damage scatter, dont remember the mod.

There's a bug with all AOE attacks ... sometimes by mistake one creature is hit multiple times, and it shows a higher damage. It's a known issue.

I was hunting Ravenous Tortons on Rori today and I started hitting one for 1 damage every shot. But that's probably because my FWG went to '0' condition during the fight. lol

I've been getting high damage on lairs for a while now. Especially if the lair is empty meaning all the creatures have been killed. These are low level lairs though, and I just shoot them once and destroy the lair getting about 4-6k damage.

bah, leave fanshot alone, its the best thing we've had since FOREVER

i agree i am a big 'fan' of the shot

and this was not lairs i was hitting, it was MOBs i hit the lair after i had finished them for 6875

it was a lucky day

Personal best fan shot was on an Ancient Rancor. it was for 6490 with a 60-192 FWG-5 pistol.

now that I have a Kyrat tissue republican blaster I regularly see with body shot 2-3K damage

Wow. Some of those personal bests are amazing! Best I've ever noticed is roughly 2200. I can get it fairly regularly though, with FWG5 or Republic. Haven't used my DX2 in a while...Maybe I'll try it tonight.

I just hit a perlek ravager with a glow juice trap, then used pistol whip 1 and stopping shot. Hit for 4551 and killed it in one shot. My gun is a krayt republic, powered up to a max of 424.

The best was the stacking knockdowns.
