Thread: lets talk about Stopping shot

most of the reson i got this shot was because in the desibsion on the speical it said ONE SHOT incap or kill i dueled my friend with no armor it took 3 shots with a 143-234 dx2 1.4 pistol any one else noting getthin that ONE shot kill or is this box worth keepin

I am not sure they meant this literally.


It does work that way against lots of low level mobs though.

It was like it was suppose to be at one time. But now theres a 25% dmg reduction in pvp that wasnt there in the beginning.

There is a lot of hype from certain noisy people about Stopping Shot being a one-shot kill. It's hype unless you're using a Krayt weapon on someone without Mitigation or armor and probably unless they're KDed. To top it off, Stopping Shot targets random HAM, so maybe on one shot, you hurt the enemy's Health, but the next shot you hit Action. Since you can't control where the damage goes, you risk taking a long time to kill anything.


Anyway, Stopping Shot is overrated. You'd think it would be some kind of "Instant Win" button what with all the hype you hear, but with Pistoleer speed and Pistoleer pistols, it's not as hot as you've been led to believe.

Its worth keeping because without it you dont get fanshot. Which blows stopping shot out of the water. If you are not planning on getting fan shot (dumb IMO its only 2 more skillpoints and you get +50 defense vs KD, and the best dps pistol move in the game that is also AE) then its probably not worth keeping.

Pistolwhip. As fast as possible. Then Fan Shot. Different types of XP, so you can hit them both.

How good is fan shot in PvP? Your saying it's better that stopping shot?? Also, how good is dodge??

FanShot = 4.0 damage, 2.4 delay


StoppingShot = 5.0 damage, 4.0 delay

Definately! Your shots do more dmg to knocked down targets, including bleed shots.

what delay?!!? with +72 speed im capping out at nearly 1.5 secs on a 2.7 speed republican. at master pistoleer if i use <1.9 speed im spamming as fast as i possibly can. you should see my ham bar vanish if i uses a d17 carbine pistol.

heh well i got a 1.4 krayt republic blaster so i could probably pull it off fast as hell just not master pistoleer yet O.o i eat my own ham up in no time and powerups =\
