Can't you please take your holocron whining gimpyness away from our forums? We want intelligent posts, not crying and bitching from some sob who wants to be jedi Not that I mind holocrons and such, but if you're just grinding out a profession without bothering to learn how to play it, you're opinion isnt even worth 2 cent.

I'm going to try to give you a semi intelligent reply. Getting 0040 first is obivous, because the specials are very good. Then you need to look at your play. If you solo mostly, you should get the 4000 line, because the Dodge modifiers are worth millions. If you're mostly in teams, you should do the 0400 line, to get more damage output.

I DO NOT INTEND THIS AS A FLAME. I want to let you know what i beleive is the best way to go up the pistoleer tree. The Previous posts tell you of the rewards at the different levels and i think they are correct, However i would go up in an order similar to this 1-1-1-1, then 2-2-2-2, then 3-3-3-3, then finish off the 4's. The key reason for this is loss of exp. I'll give u an example and i know these numbers aren't correct but the fact of the matter is. Lets say you are novice pistoleer and you 1k exp from killing a creature. The minute that any of yur skills hits the 1 tree you cut ur exp to 900 per kill. When one skill hits 2 you go down to 800 per kill. When one skill hits 3 you go down to 700 per kill. And at 4 you only get 600 per kill. I think this experience loss is even greater than the numbers i posted. If you are going pistoleer for specific skills i say take a tree up... but if u have to master it, dont cut your experience throat by climbing a single tree. Climb in an across professional move.

NOW i should add this is only imortant in combat professions... Most other professions you can get exp bonuses for climbing a tree...

I hope that this helps you and i wish you luck in your climb...

Interesting perspective, Mithral-Emish. I haven't seen that point raised in previous posts. I'm not sure I agree 100%, buit you DO have a valid point.

Well, I went 0/0/4/x & ever since I got fanshot I've made 0/2/4/x in a fraction of the time it took to get 0/0/2/x.

Simple reason is you're doing more damage and taking less yourself therefore aquiring much less down time allowing you to kill more of those reduced xp mobs resulting in more net xp than if you was getting more xp per mob.

Some people fail to see that though.

I have been a master Pistoleer for a while now, and I hate when I am asked to train someone in the Grips or Marksmanship lines only to see that they haven't gotten Techniques first. Sure, Disarming Shot is useless but sois every special in the Grips line. Pistoleer is amazingly easyonce you get Fan Shot at Tech 4. You will see the xp rolling in.
