As the title states, I'm having serious trouble with this last mission.

I can ususallly take out the escorts, but when it comes to disabling the vette, I keep getting killed by the thing.

I tried shooting the shields, secondary shields, and even the weapons.but no matter how much I shoot, nothing happens. (can't target the Engine or Reactor. is that normal for this mission? if so what do I target then?)

I been hearing there's a blindspot, but i'm unsure where that is. I was assuming it was in the back of the ship, but nothing happened there.

It's been a pain getting up to this point and I just want to finish this off once and for all and fly that beauty.

just in case, I'm a 4333 Privateer.

there is a blind spot dirrectly behind the vett, so if you have the same heading, and you are in the same line of action (not above or below) you can just pull right up to the back and start using your missiles.

In the FAQ 3.0 sticky, there are 2 links inside for taking out vettes...one is called something like taking out a vette in 5 easy steps, and the other is master mission vette 2.0 (this name is also approximate, but you will see them). Either of these guides will help you immensely on vette runs.

On this particular mission, and the RGI/Advanced X-wing, which you can alsodo as a freelance pilot, you want to wait to take out the vette's engine until it is within 5k of Kashyyyk station (4k, is better)...this will help you avoid some gunboat troubles, or minimize it.
