The droid's datapad is completely different from JTL commands.

To program another factions commands you simply need to have the chips in your inventory. Then open your droid from your datapad to program it as though you were programming your own commands, and the chip commands will appear in the list.

That is what I have been doing.

Programming from the datapad.

When I load the command to a "Droid" the chip gets burned, the droid lists the program when checked in the ship loadout, and then when I launch it is gone. On the other hand when loading to a "Flight Computer" in the same manner( i.e. from the player datapad) the commands stick. The commands from my Freelancer won't load into my rebel droid even though it says they did and vice versa the Rebel commands will not load into the Droid that my Freelancer uses in the ARC170.

PS

Do you play on Bria, cause I could use a handfull of Imp Droid commands. I'll supply the chips if you bring the dip (very little joke)

Known issue, if the datapad doesn't have enough space left SWG tells you it burned succesfully while it actually didn't.

What about My 4444 pilot burning a tier one rebel command to a half-full to a lvl 5 astromech? With it not working, but adding it to a lvl 4FC works?

I've had chips fail to work before, it's annoying but usually works sooner or later.

Try unloading the droid, close the ship interface, and then open up and load it again?

Kind of shooting in the dark here, but I think I know what you're talking about. That did happen to me once with my own programs - the droid simply wouldn't update. I'd try clearing out all of the programs you know, burn the chip program in, then try toying with a few interfaces to see if you can get it to display.
