When targeting gun 5 do you blast the shields down then the gun, or is there someway to take the gun out with the ship still having shields?

Shields and armor are meaningless with the Vettes. Well, you have to shoot the shields off to get to the juicier sub-components, but as far as Gun 5 goes, just blast it off, the shields don't care.

Well, if you can take care of the escort and gun 5, no problem...

Any pilot should be able to solo with the thorough guides out there if they are there when it's spawns esp with new ROTW chassis's.
Not saying it's easy for all and some may need someone to visually walk them through it but btwn IFF scramble for reb/neut and /bstrike2 for imp it's reall a cake walk once you've been shown how.
current personal record for disable on a kash station mission(incl reb/imp) when assisting/teaching is 34 secs no ordanance
blow 5, boost out front relative down 600m flip, blow both sheilds boost behind then engine
and no I'd only consider myself a little above average and learning but *shrug* if it won't change tactics why should we vs it
