I've just started a new character and am going Rebel for the first time. So, before going to one of the three Rebel recruiters in the stickie I though I'd ask which one would you advise? Does one squadron have better locations or advantages than the others?

I thought Vortex was the most fun. It had swarms of TIE fighters to fight rather than gunboats and such.

well havok and crimson phoenix are both the easiest and i did havok entirely solo, i think the longest tier 3 mission was 15 min and that was an escort, phoenix i beleive has escorts that are liek 1 hour.

Mission-wise, I don't know that it makes that much of a difference ... Havok Squadron's trainers are "interesting", and you get the T4 Black Sun duties there (any Rebelcan get them, but you do a LOT of clicking through if you're not Havok) and Crimson Phoenix gets the T4 factional duty, and is the more "military" squadron. I forget what Vortex had on the T4 trainer, it was in an inconvenient spot for duty missions.
