Those would bebugged DI's. There was a bug that the low level ones were the fastest and mk5 the slowest, they fixed the bug,but old DI's still exist, they just can't be made any more.

Also, I have access to a SW for RE's...my question is, do you only need the Component Analyzer to do an RE, or do you need to be in range of a Starship craftingstation as well?

You just need the tool.

I do have one of the pre-nerf DI's, but this person specifically said it wasa crafted DI. I suspect that he/she was in error, and that you are correct in saying it's actually a pre-nerf loot, but I thought I would throw it out there. The best low mass/speed combo I have seen is 1kish mass, 20 speed on crafted DI's.

Ahh, my mistake on Red-Dwarf's wording. I did not realize the bug also applied to crafted DI's, although I suppose I should have.
