I mastered with the rebel Awing and would have sworn I would never fly another ship until I got my hands on the KSE Firespray. Outfitted with the baddest equip around and using CO3, WO3, EO3, RO3, shield shunt, I found this to be the most fun and effective ship out there. Now there were some who disagreed of course but I could basically do anything I desired withthe KSE.
Anyway, there are all these new ships that came out post-cu/wookieworld that I have not had an opportunity to fly.
Can anyone who was a master KSE fighter compare their experiences in that vs. any/all of the new ships? Your input is appreciated. I just looted the grevious starfighter but have not had an opportunity to try it out.
Thanks again for the help and advice.

Well, the KSE and the X-Wing are all about Mass, and PvE. If PvE is your game, the KSE will serve you well. If you like to PvP, or want to try it, I would recommend using one of the new ships or an A-Wing.
Sounds to me like you are all about the Mass though, and the only 2 better than the KSE, IMHO, are the Oppressor and the Krayt.

The KSE is a fine pve ships in pvp you want a real fighter or some type of missile boat. the X wing is not bad in pvp it had guns and can move. A wings ofcoruse are what al ot fly as well as the new ships. also good pvp ships are tthe Tie interceptor the advance and the oppressor.
Note. Their is a diffrence between duels and pvp. in a duel a light fighter pretty much wins. in open pvp well the groups using those missile boats oppressors to take out the the A wing sheilds are pretty happy with the results
my self I pilot an oppressor and a royal guard interceptor.
I use both for pvp and pve

In my mass-junkie days, the only ship that dragged me kicking and screaming from my beloved KSE was the Krayt. More mass, more guns and it corners really well for the size. But really, in pve a max-mass KSE with trick parts will do justfine.
Nowadays, it's ocurred to me that the Krayt just made things too damn easy. And being Freelance, I missed out on the light-fighter thing. The Vaksai and ARC-170 are both fun, but not eye-poppingly awesome. The Grev/JSF really blew my mind, though. For PVE fights, the Grev has just enough mass to fit good equipment, and it's *fast*. You can dart in and out of the fight and still put a lot of steel/energy on target. The JSF takes it one step further by making you much harder to hit. It's irreplaceable though, so I tend to baby it a bit and keep it in Deep-Space.
So yeah. If you're a mass-hound and like ordnance, nothing beats your KSE. Nothing new in RotW land for you. But if you want toslim things down a bit, check out the JSF/Grevious. My only complaint with 'em is that everyone has and flies one. But there's good reason for that.

psst, OP is rebel so can't use the oppressor, thus the KSE would be top beast.

Psst, if you are not able to fly an Opp, you are on the wrong side

imo the KSE is a waste of mass. With another gun slot the ship might actually be worth it.

I fly the Grev and love it. It is so stinking fast! I look forward to trying the Arc though as I would like 10-20k more mass.

Nice thing about the Vaksai is MASS...
150K in a thing that's FAST and manoveurable, it's soooo much fun. IMO a very viable PvP ship despite it's slightly larger profile. Basically can fit big of everything into it of note ( big gun, big engine, big shield ) so it cruises with EO at 1300 or more, hits hard it's single big gun and has decent protection from it's shields.

I have to admit I love flying the KFC Chickenspray, but the distance between the guns always throws me off a bit. In deepspace this is a problem for me with A-Wings, but then again I could just need more time getting used to flying this beast. Since ace'ing I have spent almost 90% of my time in my Tie Advanced, and that kind of spoiled me. Plus having sold the Lvl 8 reward gun I have to rely on loot drops to try to upgrade the weapons in my KSE.
