Thread: Outfitting my first purchased ship and other questions only a NOOB would ask

I am about to embark on Freelance Tier 2. I believe (mistakenly?) that I need to purchase a ship and will have to get a dunelizard. The steps are as follows (I think):
1. Buy chassis blueprints
2. Take them to the guy at the starport that buys space loot and he converts it to a ship in your datapad.
3. Equip the ship in the launch terminal with components you bought or have in other ships or looted.
Is this essentially correct?
Can I get a flight computer from my ship vendor and will it be programmed with the stuff I need?
Can an average pilot do tier 2 solo with the Scyyk?
Is the Scyyk (heavy) worth getting? I really like the way it looks and its maneuverability is the best...right?
Could an average pilot do all 4 tiers in a Scyyk (heavy)?
What level do you think I need to be to do the smuggling mission from Kashyyk that gets you into the hunting grounds?
If you have answered all of these...correctly...what is my favorite number?

Rodger. If you are buying a DL and it is over 65k mass you will probable not need a new ship till you hit tier 4. But that is me/

good dune lizars come with a mass of 85k... so ya you will be set fow awhile in that thing till after you master.
also after buying the chasis from the space loot dealer remeber it doesn't go into your data pad from there... Look in your data pad and there will be an item that you use to genereate the ship... then load it up and your good to go.

I dont have one myself, but ive got a guildie that has a Heavy Scyk. From what I hear, it not only is an outstanding ship for a lower level guy, but its a ship that you will probably be using even after you master. If you can find one, and can justify the price, I bet you would be happy.
On a sidenote, i have another guildie that is a master on one toon and 4433 on another, and he flies nothing but the duneleezard. He did buy a KSE and plans to start using that as soon as he gets it outfitted though. But the leezard is pretty servicable too.
My personal advice? If you PvE, go rebel while you still can and get a Heavy Xwing!
