Thread: Freelance = NO Deep Space, correct?

I just want to be clear before I drop my freelance pilot skills. I'm currently an Ithorian Bounty Hunter, Imperial alligned. Since there's no Hutt faction, I thought the idea of being a freelance pilot would help me feel a little more alien Hutt Bounty Hunter-ish. But I keep hearing that I'm going to have to miss out on Deep Space and Kessel (I'm not sure exactly what that is), and I don't want to lose touch with any of the game content.
Is this a fact?
I went RSF so I would have Imperial aligned missions, but I don't seem to get faction for them anyway, so that's another issue. I'm just torn and not sure what to do for better results in the end-game. Any suggesions would be very much appreciated.

You can go to Deepspace and kessel, just not to deepspace Overt. Meaning farming faction in Deepspace. This is looked at as a bug.

Freelancers still can go into deep space and kessel, however, you can not go into deep space overt. IE: You can not gain faction points in deep space (you still can get faction points in Kessel though).

Uh... don't freelancers who go to Deep Space have to declare with Rebels or Imperials when they go?
Or did that get changed?

you have to go to the neutral station(no overted in space) and go inside ether on the side of Rebel or Imperial.

Just want to clarify something:
If you are aligned on the ground with either faction, Imp or Reb, you will be overt for that faction when you go into Deep Space, in the sense that you can attack and be atacked by opposite faction players. You cannot however, receive faction points for any of your kills.
So yes, you are overt (as in the pvp), but you cannot farm faction.
