Polarized Object, or Player On Board. It means ships that you can walk around on.

Should bloody call them "Ships you can walk around on" then shouldnt they. "Portalised object" indeed!

Check the Pilot FAQ stickied to the top on the Pilot forum. Gives *most* everything you need to know about Pilot profession and then some. It's all that and a bag of chips.........I can't pull that off.

It means Portalized Object because when you enter you port into a mini-instance. This is why people cannot see into your ship, because they have not loaded that object.

The houses in SWG are also Portilized Objects. This is why when you first walk into a house no furniture appears, everything has to load up. This is also why none of the houses have windows.

I thought it was to be senstive to thier Vampire Subscripers who appercaite being able to avoid sunlight even in a virtal world. Actually the Luxury Yacht does have windows you can see out of. Can't see through them though if you're flying next to it though.

No no no, you can see out for sure. All ships in JTL are technically Portalized Objects (you just can't walk around on the starfighters) I believe, as they all have a 3-D interior your player actually enters. But all ships also have windows you can see out of because you have the outside world loaded too. If they wanted to, they could add one way windows to houses...it just might look funny.
