Thread: Why am I not getting any FP in deep space?

OK, over the last few nights, I've speant a fair amount of time in DS. I havea 300k credit chip sitting my inventory, made about 500k selling the loot, downed about 6 people (and got shot down twice myself). However, I have been getting no FP. Is there something I have to do to get FP out of these kills? What's the deal?

You need to go overt BEFORE you go there ... and you can't go there overt as Privateer.

Ah. That's.... kinda weird, actually, since you're pretty much auto-overt the second you hit DS. Oh well, so be it.

Des, was that you last night that whollaped me as I was trolling around the ISD? I got hit, had time to say, " W - T -?" and was dead. Ment to ask you if you knew the number of the trucking company that just ran me over 
lol
Anyway, thanks for the answer, also, I was wondering the same thing.

Mighta been me. The only one I know for sure I've killed is Aaryc, and that's because whenever I'm in DS he's almost always the one I find either already there, or he comes in while I'm busy blowing up gunboats and vettes. I've downed him 3 times now, he's downed me once. To be fair to us both, one of our kills was a head-to-head rumble during my first night of PvP. We both blazed into each other, and knocked out each others shields and engines. He had to eject, I drifted, just barely into range of the Rebel Station's guns.

You just have to find one of your factional bases to declare at. And, you have to declare before you enter. What it's doing is making you PvP active before you go into Deep Space (and after you leave, so remember that when leaving), thus allowing you to get faction points off kills. You'll have to re-declare every time you die or land.
