Thread: Ranting about Rude pilots
If you are on Lowca and I ever have intruded on you I apologise it was not intentonal, please don't become so jaded that you will not help a friendly in danger... pilots have to stick together especaly those of us who truly enjoy flight.
That could have been me! ![]()
Though, the other pilot was in a Krayt. We both arrived in the Red Sin spawn at the same time, and ended up firing on one another's targets. Who started it, I don't know, but, I will say that I appreciated the opportunity to see another Pilot in action, going for the same kills, and seeing how my flying, and my ship, stacked up against them. I ended up leaving for the Imp Spawn nearby. Until I left it was see sawing between us as to who got the loot. Damn that competitive bone!

I get so tired of this.
I have a ship that can take down T5s in the time it takes people to take down T3s, and it's just a testbed for a ship that will do far greater damage. Yet whenever I "own" a spawn, I constantly get /launchmissiled (especially after people or groups attempt to KS me and fail repeatedly), obscene /tells, and threats of CSR reports.
I allow and occasionally group xp seekers to join with me on specific spawns and allow them to get 10% damage in on the target before opening fire on it myself so they can get the full reward, but I just LOVE the people who give me grief for being better equipped than they are.
It's not my fault the majority of the "new breed" were too busy hunting sure-to-be-nerfed Exceptional/Legendary items whilst I was *BUILDING* mine, back in the days when any pilot that continued to fly after acing was considered a fool.
Well, who are the fools now? I can make what Krayt hunters used to make in their primes, sometimes more, and I do it without hurting or adversely affecting anyone, at a cost of 24 credits per run. I may slightly inconvenience people at times...but never for more than a few hours.
So, call it hubris, but when you launch, you're in my, and other "professional pilots'" homes. We've made this profession most thumbed their noses at into a lifestyle and in mine and other's cases, a HIGHLY lucrative and profitable venture.
And now we're getting grief because other people, who couldn't be bothered to take an interest in space until now, can't get in on the fun and benefit.

I like it. I like it a lot. ![]()
I haven't had enough coffee yet, so I don't have a great deal to contribute.. But I will add the ONE thing that continually drives me insane.. Pilots in Kessel seasoned and "I just want the badge" who constantly leave the vette gunboats at the end point. Sure I can go blow 'em, but why should I have pick up someone elses dirty socks? I don't mind helping out other upcoming pilots. There's a chance some of them may discover they like competing in deep space. But they have to pass my tests before I'll assist them on the vette. Call it arrogance or what you will, but I don't want the "just want the badge" pilots in my space. *shrug*
What I do find encouraging is that, those who really want to learn how to fly, do pretty well vs the vette after listening to my advice. Those who don't, well they end up diving the top deck. *snickers*
