Stick with it though .. Storm is the toughest out of all the squads and factions, once your finished you'll be amazed if you ever decide to grind any other's.
Tip for some of the escort missions .. Just disable the fighters, this slows down the next wave spawning and gives your shields a few seconds to charge.

What I do for those, since they blow themselves up and new ones appear. Don't disable them totally, take their engines down to <10% they will then keep trying to follow/attack you and the freighters but since they are only running at about 25-40 they will never keep up and you will never get another wave of craft.
Just set your ship to follow and sit back and watch a movie while keeping an eye on the freighter.

Now that is plain cheeky. Hmm....never thought of doing that. I will have to try it out. I just seem to have the type of luck where i just finish disabling all but one and the next group show up. lol. But now that i am a decent pilot after learning how to fly, it never been a problemeither with how many show up.
nah, I just keep killing them, you get more loot that way ![]()
seriously though, just keep practicing, and make sure you have some good maneuverable engines and decent weapons, that will allow you to be harder to hit and take out the enemy faster. Kindof follows the idea of the best defense is a good offense, at least that's how I like to fly.
Good luck.

Imperial Pilot 2 2 2 2, Storm Squad, on that NEVER ending Endor mission, finally get to the last part where I gotta meet with some cords or something and bunch of random Death Watch CRAP agros me and kills me -_-
Hours wasted.....iam in disbelief
Lol...am trying for the 5th time as I write this.
Why do they make the freighterjumps next tolike 5 Death Watch spawns, is beyond me lol.
And there's no aces for hire on Eclipse -_-

Ok just finished this mission...
The part where I think everyone dies at is the one where you had to rescue a freighter...right when the mission ends...This part of thechain sucks to begin with, because they always put the freighter near 2 to 4 Tier 4 Z-95 pirate leader spawns.
Disable them, then dock and repair the freighter, then escort it out of there.
The A-Wings will start coming in at this point. Disable as many as possible. Keep an eye on where the freighter is headed, becauseitwill eventually waltz right into about 4-5 Death Watches right before it jumps...with waves of scripted A wings etc on your back, it makes it very hard to get to the rendevous (the last mission in this chain) alive.
This is what I did:
1. As I got about 2 clicks from the Death Watch spawns, I positioned myself to about 1200m behind the freighter, and just matched speed. It'll survive long enuf to jump out of system.
2. When the freighter jumps, turn around and high tail out of there...cause they're all gunning for you.
Now begins the rendevous part. I suggest hyperspacing to I think the 2nd point on the list of hyperspace points for Endor before the first wave of A Wings appear, it'll take you to about 5k from the rendevous point. You willstart encountering waves of A Wings at this point...I would just fly right through them. Make sure you have about 1200 shields, and engine capable of 800+, and a nice booster. Once you get to the waypoint, fly past it and turn around, dock as soon as you can. The 8 fighters will zip by you: use the shuttle as a shield. If not no biggie you should be able to take the punishment.
Once procedure is done, high tail it out of there...once yer about 1200m from the nearest threat, keep fying straight, and hyperspace back to Yavin 4 for your reward.
Hope this helps.

I lucked out, after spending like 6-8 hours on this with random people, I was bale to get a ACE pilot through the BRIA Pilot helpers topic to come help us mid-way through the battle.
The mission isnt that bad, the first escort does take way too long, the problem is the spawn of tier 4 Death Watch flunkies who gang you.
Sorry for my rude behavior with the first post, but when i spent so many hours on this single mission and lost due to a random spawn i was a tad ticked ![]()
And yes...tier 3 does suck, I tried doing the next mission, disabled the recon a-wing, took out the teir 4 x-wings, then here comes like 5 Tier 4 A-Wings who beat me into oblivion, not only that my eject button pops up on screen so I hit it, but it didint work so i mashed on it....eventually I died, then when i spawn at the space station it would not let me com with it and the Eject bug kicked in and my ship exploded about 5 times...leaving me stuck in space next to the station without any chance of repair
Eventually I D/C myself and I came back on to find myself on endor research outpost ![]()
