Anyone out there have any suggestions for getting space xp? I'm about 450k xp away from 4-4-4-4 Imp Pilot (Black Epsilon). I'm looking for some good spots to go to get ship xp. I've tried Kessel (good XP per kill) but it takes a long time to even find any rebel craft to trash.

A guildie suggested camping around the Kashyyyk space station killing the Mercenery Freighters and Cruisers (at 5k xp per kill) but they just take forever to destroy, even with good weaponry.

I've been making sure to have inspiration buffs, because that extra 10% really adds up.

Kessel is the way to go. Went from 4334 to master in a day. Gunboats give 28k xp and if u find a vette with all the escorts u will easily get 120k+. Just bring a friend hehe

I generally end up flying solo, so gunboats and vettes are kind of out of the question. i don't even think i could take them on using Bomberstrike 2 for backup.

Maybe tonight i'll try my buddy list, and find someone with enough pilot skills to help me, but in the past week in Kesel, i haven't spotted a single gunboat. just a few occasional Tier 5 X-wings, B-wings, and Y-wings.

I've got a few to choose from.

TIE Aggressor - My newest ship
TIE Bomber - This is my main ship, and I would most likely be using this (love the 2 blasters and 2 launchers)
Jedi Starfighter

I also have a Yacht too, but i won't be gettin' much xp with that now will i?

Also, a friend's jaw dropped when i told him i have NEVER used a droid in space before. He doesn't see how i could have made it to 4-4-4-3 without a droid. So he set me up with a Droid Interface, and a Flight Computer, as well as some chips. He said to find a Freelance Ace to program them with Shield Shunt 4 and something else, either a Reactor or an Engine program.

I'll send you a tell sometime tonight and see if you want to go to Kessel. But i'll most likely be in my Bomber.

Ugh......bomber......bad memories.

I used mine onceI think then switched to interceptor till i got a tie advanced then the JSL.

The agresor was allright but handling was too slugish compared to the advanced.

I used the JSL to get from 4333 to master. Dual weps, decent sheild, engine and cap.

U might want tolook into outfiting the JSL. Even if u have to drop to lv7 weapons.

But w/e u decide to fly in is cool

oh, i've got the JSF loaded up with good equipment. Basically, until i got the JSF, the bomber was the ONLY ship i used ever since i could first fly it. Me and that thing's been through some rough times in space, but i wouldn't trade that flying tank for anything. (except maybe a new bomber since it's Chassis hitpoints are really low). Might need to talk to Cheeto about a new bomber.

I think my favorite thing about the bomber is that i could special order parts from a shipwright, and tell them that Mass doesn't matter. Just make the guns powerful, the capacitor efficient, the engine fast, and the shields and armor strong, and don't worry about how much they weigh.

Yeah i did like the 180k+ mass back as a tier 2/3 pilot. You could pimp the hell out of them cause the lv4-5-6 parts weighed so little.

Just wanted to chime in on the XP issue - just run Tier 4 duty missions, they're awesome XP, and teach you how to quickly deal with swarms of ships. And by doing these you don't have to hunt down fighters in Kessel.

Everyone always seems to get stuck at Tier 4 hunting for experience, but I've always found the fastest to be destroy style duties. As an Imperial, try to take the one from the Inquisitor in Vader's room in the Emperor's Retreat, it's a lot faster than the one the Black Epsilon trainer gives out.

Are you a pilot and not using Droid Commands?

I hate duty missions with a passion. And theres nothing like watching a gunship get blown up!
