Thread: POBs in PvE
I agree the POB's are awesome fun. We have been taking Decimator crews to deep space to go after vettes and gunboats. We even got to bear down on an unsuspecting Firespray the other day.
I let a friend pilot usually because I love running around for repairs. In the Decimator, a novice Imp pilot can run the computer so we usually get someone with novice pilotto do that so the pilot doesnt have to switch seats.
Just put in some POB parts and they rock. the POB engine was disappointing though. On a couple components, MK V was jsut better. Here is my Decimator components:

Did you have someone running Cap Shunt? I'd recommend on of your damage control people sitting in co-pilot seat, its true the gunners can fire off droid programs but I'd rather have a dedicatedOps just for that (and doing awareness checks in DS). With practice you'll be chewing through T4s in no time, and moving up to T5s. ![]()
If you're going powering up the Nova alot, I'd recommend getting an Elite shields and Reactor, the extra protection is nice and the extra power coupled with RO4 might let you run EO4. I think Kaliban keeps a stock of asteroids so he could make those fast for you, or if want to order'em, I could build you a set.

Well, at this point, I have an MSW of my own (Rorenikibi is one courtesy of the respec). I run RO4 as a default, and I can go with EO4, but I lose my missiles (which I put to good use when things get ugly. I have a trio of Mk2 Spacebombs crafted with 27k-ish max damage). EO3 is more than enough for now. My guild's still learning some of the ropes of JTL. They're kick ass pilots, they've gone from Novice to 3333/4333 in about 12-20 hours each without double xp, but they don't know droid commands at all and I'm the only Master pilot in the guild.I really need to learn a few of the newer programs myself.
As far as POB components, I've got a POB Large Hold now, courtesy of Skwish handing me a pair of the free 30k resource deeds, I just need to get time to go up there and mine with a crew. We're juggling a lot of balls at once, so its not easy. I'll speak to the boss about maybe hooking up with you or Kal for POB stuff.

I mentioned it obliquely in the ARC170 usage guide, but a lot of the same tactics will work with a POB ship, especially when doing missions. Give it a try. Throw the balance on your shields heavy to the rear, and let the mobs chase you while matching speed.
Yeah, I noticed that last night. Was already considering it this morning.
