Hello there,
My very dear friend has finally decided She would like to learn a Pilot Profession.
She just rode with me or put her Yacht on autopilot until now.
So... She decided it was time to join the Smuggler Alliance Pilot Faction.
After She spoke to Good ole Gil, She went to whom he pointed out in Mos Eisely.
Apparently, She was asked if she'd like to learn to survive or something... and said yes.
So, that apprently started some New Player Series of Missions... including the exciting tasks of...
PUT YOUR CREDITS IN THE BANK
FIND THE CLONING CENTER
GO TO THE BAZAAR TERMINAL
GO TO THE TRAINER AREA
KILL 10 Tuskens
HARVEST 10 DWARF NUNAS...
Finally it told her to go to the cantina and dance...
Uhmmm... She's a full templated Player that has played for nearly two years...
LOL!
The problem is... She can find no way of getting out of these newb missions AND She cannot Dance... she's not an entertainer.
It's pretty silly that they provide no way of terminating this series of missions.. She obviously had no idea what she was agreeing to when she said yes.
All She wanted to do was start the JTL Pilot Missions.
I told her to try talking to the person on Naboo or Corellia, learn Novice Pilot, then drop Novice Pilot and start all over agin... hopefully resetting the new missions with the Smuggler Alliance Contact in Eisley.
Needless to say, this sure ruined what we thought was going to be a fun and exciting night.
If my fix doesn't work, then we're going to need some help.
Just curious if this has come up before and if anyone knows what She can do to get around this annoying quirk...
Besides drop skills to pick up each of the novice professions so that she can actually go through all the newb missions this guy wants to put Her through.

The waypoints Gil gives you seem to be bugged, he gives you the waypoint to 'Treha' or something like that, the new newbie turtorial for ROTW I guess. I'm also unable to get rid of these missions, and I have no interest in dancing... Whatsoever. But to answer your question, just dont go to the waypoint he gives you, I believe that the smugglers alliance trainer is in the back of the Mos Eisley cantina, infront of Talon Karrde. So try talking to him and ignoring the incorrect waypoint. Hope that helps.

Thanks, that's exactly what She's trying right now...
She said that She's going to Gil to punch him in the face afterwards.

That NPC has nothing to do with Pilot, your friend should just finisha mission or leave it unfinished, then go in and talk to Dravis.

Heh, thats what I was ready to do, you get Treha's location when trying to get novice alliance pilot as well. Hopefully they will fix this soon...

Way to introduce new players to the game to boot!
Okay, She went straight to the source and everything worked.
Too bad She didn't find this out until a couple of hours later.
And yeah, those waypoints they're giving out... they're all the same coords on the different planets... so She actually drove 3k out of Coronet to find no one there... haha!
It is time to get this game into better shape.
I've been here since launch and things were pretty crazy back then... but this could be the worst state I've seen this game in.
I'm very happy to see all the new players coming in, but if I were a new player starting out today... I don't honestly know if I'd stick with this.
Anyway, thanks a lot for the responses.
If you're in the Kauri Galaxy and are flying in space... stay clear of Iswa Venari... she's only just learning to fly and is in a very angry mood!

I'm not really sure about this...
Did you already have a Space Mission from someone on Kashyyyk? I read just recently that having two Space Missions in your datapad can mess things up... I've never experienced this myself, but I will make sure to never have two at once (At least not when I launch into space).
Hmmm... judging by your forum registration date, I assume you know what you're doing in this game... so there goes my first guess...
Regardless, some of the things I say may sound like I'm talking to a newb... I mean no offense. The clearer we make things, the more likely we can figure it out.
I've never had any issue with aborting a Pilot mission.
Is the mission Icon appearing in your datapad (in the data section where missions, vehicles and pets go)?
If you click on that, there should be an abort option. (Aborting the mission will not harm you, it will just allow you to go back to the mission giver and get the mission all over again)
I assume that you're going into Space before you look for the waypoint... the waypoints don't appear until you load into the Space System that the mission is for.
That's another thing... you are in the right Space System right?
That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
Hopefully it's something simple... if it is related to having another Space Quest right now, check the Thread stickied here in the Pilot Forums about ROTW Bugs and workarounds (I think that's where that info is).
Let us know if you figure this out.
May the force be with you.
