Thread: Work around for They were Weak bug in adv x-wing/crimson tie quest

If like me, you answered "They were weak" and can now no longer work towards the advanced x-wing/crimson tie, I have discovered a work around by accident.
Since I couldn't get the advanced x, I dropped rebel pilot and went imperial to get the JSF, got that and have become rebel pilot again and discovered all my space quests were reset. Including the Kashyyyk space station quests. So I went through it all, answered correctly and got my advanced x.

interesting, i tried this about a week ago and while it seems to partialy reset it when you retire, it didnt solve the issue for me.
i ended up being able to do the first 2 escort missions over agian, but then when the station sends me down to meet emma, emma still just tells me to talk to teh station.
now i dont even get the option to run the endless duty missions, i just get sent back and forth between the two.

same for me, dumped imp pilot for reb pilot...got the escort missions but when told to speak to emya he keeps giving me the same message about running duty missions from the station...i wished it had worked

Id love to give it a shot. But the dang system isnt giving me my storm squadron badge for some reason, even though i got my other badge from the respec period. Anyone else having that problem?

I am assuming you picked up novice imp pilot at least to go after the jsf. I wonder if they picked up novice reb pilot then went back imperial pilot if it would work.

I got the JSF without ever dropping Master Privateer Pilot. Only have to be Imp Ground Combatant to get it.

I know, I was responding to the person talking about the JSF.
I got my Heavy X-Wing and Vaksai coz I read the forums before doing any major quests and knew about the weak/strong thing going in. heh

Yes but if you will read the original post, he dropped reb pilot then went imp to get the JSF. His X-Wing mission was bugged. Apparently it is the same as the Red Tie quest because he answered "weak" and it bugged him out. When he went back Reb, he was able to do the quests over again and answered appropriately the second time and was able to finish the quest.
He says that he actually mastered Imp Pilot and got the JSF, went back Reb pilot again and was able to answer stron the second time around and got his reward ship.
So it looks like the work-around is as follows:
- Drop Imperial Pilot
- Master Rebel Pilot (If any Imps do this on Tempest I want some chips programmed before you come back to the Dark side)
- Mabey even do the quest for the ARC-170 (He did the one for the JSF)
- Master Imperial Pilot again
- Mission should reset so you can start it over
- DO NOT FORGET TO ANSWER "STRONG" THIS TIME AROUND
