Can anyone shed any light on why I've been caught in this loop for the past 3 weeks?

I successfully completed all of my 1/1/1/1 and 2/2/2/2 missions about two weeks ago. Upon completion of my last 2/2/2/2 mission, the CorSec trainer in Corillia sent me to the Trainer namedRamnain theNym's Stronghold cantina. I had already earned the 200k to train level 6-7 ship equipment upon completing my last mission for 2/2/2/2, but was not given the option to train any further by the CorSec trainer in Corillia. So when I conversed with this new Trainer, Ramna, she gave me a new mission, but not the ability to train the tier 3 level 6-7 ship equipment.

I figured the option to train tier 3, level 6-7 ship equipment would appear after completing the first mission from the new trainer, Ramna. Off I went into space. The mission spawned, but when I got to the way point location and searching for the nym's ship to destroy, I was attacked by Corsair and had to eject. I repaired my ship and returned to locate the Nym's ship, however the TARGET LOCATION no longer appeared. I checked my quest journal and noticed that the Privateer assignment was no longer showing up. I looked in my data pad, and again, no assignment. I landed and went back to the trainer, Ramna at the Nym's Stronghold cantina, but she would not converse with me. The only thing she will say to this day is, "Hey listen, We've all got work to do!" I ran back to Corillia to see if I needed to converse withthe previous CorSec trainer, hoping that he would reset me to talk to the trainerat Nym's, but he just waved his hands in the air and gave me the last response to see the trainer at Nym's, yet each time I go back toRamna at Nym's she says the same thing, "Hey listen, We've all got work to do," and that's it. I'm stuck becauseI cannot get this mission reset nor will it spawn. It is not listed in my quest journal, therefore, I no longer have the details nor even recall now after all this time, what the mission details were, therefore, I cannot go forward, nor can I go backwards ... hence the LOOP.

I've submitted 4 csr tickets, to no avail and 1 bug report. I've placed two separate calls to Sony, SOE, and spoken to live chat, which requested that I send the entire scenario in an email with the requested information, all of which, I've done. To this date, no help.

All I am asking is that the mission be reset

A friend of mines... Freelance master pilot told me that I would basically have to resign from that CorSec Freelance Pilot training and sign up with the Bestine smugglers trainers... meaning I'll have to start from novice and lose all of my current training because I cannot move forward as I am.

*sigh* I'd sure hate to have to do that, cause I worked pretty hard to get to this point, just to have to start all over from scratch because of one missionbug

Can anyone shed any light on this situation ??? It would be greatly appreciated, otherwise.. I gotta start all over and I get chocked up just thinking about it, because it's just not fair

? did you hold down the return key?

Try killing Nym ships in that sector if thats what the mission calls for.

I didn't come here to win, I came here to fight!

For those who cry nerf...
The technical term for this is "systems balancing", prior to release. After release, it's still balancing, but changes can be considered nerfs or enhancements.
Since you don't have it yet, if you cry nerf, I'll make sure your name is on the list to spew chicken feathers as your characters talk.

Well no, I didn't hold down the return key...but I'll try anything. When do I hold down the return key, while in space or when and where? What will holding down the return key do, specifically?

I did not write the mission objective down, as I did not realize that it would vanish.. so I do not recall really what sector it was in, or if it was in Lok or Yavin. I had always experienced that when you lose a battle in space while on a mission, you go and repair, and the mission target location respawns... along with the mission objective still showing in your Quest journal, under privateer. I do not have any of these tools available to me on this mission, which is why I returned to the Trainer in hopes that it would be reset and re-appear in my quest journal and data pad. This has not happened

I'll hold down any key, hehe, if that'll help me get this mission back up and running, lol. Just say which key and when to use it.. and I'm there *wink*

Thanks,

Jazz~

Er.. I do believe the comment about the return key is in reference to the lengthy page return of your original post. you may wish to edit it.

I would like to edit the initial post due to the lengthy blank space, but I do not get an "edit" option for some reason.

Ok the bigged part is where Ramna won't give you the mission over again. However when you die in space you automatically loose the mission. At this point you no longer go back to corellia, stick with the new chick. The Corsairs blowing you up was simply bad luck, it happens. Everything aside from Ranma is working as intended.

P.S. I have no idea how to reset this though.

It really doesn't matter now.. After weeks of getting the run around by CSR's, I finally got one response stating there is no fix available for this problem... and Yes, I would have to start over from scratch in order to possibly get past tier III someday.

So I have done that, only without the help of double xp week in place. It's a slow, frustrating and humilliating grind. I'm not real happy about it nor by the way the situation was handled overall.

It was and is their bug.. Is it too much to ask that THEY fix it or at least help me out of it?

From my experience, the answer is Yes, it was too much to ask.

Problem is... ok, so I started all over from novice.. So now, when I get to tier III again somday, what's to say it won't happen again????

When I asked that question, I was told by the responding csr... "continue submitting bug reports so the developers can have as much information as possible to try and resolve it."

That's well and fine... I mean, how many ways can I sit down and type it out for them? If thereports I submitted didn't help, hehe, oh well.. that says it all. Plus, does it even matter that I logged in to, ummmm ... oh, "play?"

The End!

Dont feel bad, if you think Mission one is bad, wait till mission two. Somewhere in one of those JTL planning sessions, the devs decided it would be "way cool" and "rad" to set the game up so there was no possible way to set your ship up so you could solo this mission. I have tried many diffent ideas (no armor and fast ship, load it down with stuff ehathaveyou)

Just tried to do it with a Klingongora or whatever they call it, did not work...I lasted 3 secs...two secs for them to disable me 1 for me to eject. Totally pointless

RAM: PNY PC3200 1GB
VIdeo: Sapphire Tech Radeon X1600 512MB AGP
Sound: SB PCI550 (basic sound card)

Oh and NEVER NEVER eject. Make them blow you up but never ever use that eject button. It hurts much more to drop a thermal det in your lap than it does to be shot to smitherines, go figure eh? The ship is a Kimogila. I mastered in a Dunelizard, It's a lot more manueverable than the Kimo.

Wait a sec. are you sure you arent supposed to go talk to someone on a planet first? Some pilot missions require you to meet up with an NPS somewhere on a planet before you have to go up to space.
