Which would be better for PvP? I absolutely refuse to hop on the JSF or Greivous bandwagon.

I know the Z-95 has good stats, but I hate it. The guns are set to far wide for me to be accurate with it. I used one up until Tier 4, and was VERY happy to dump it when I did. You'd think I'd get used to it, but I never did. So, if it were me, either A-wing, or hop on that bandwagon. I think there are people out there that are still competive with an A-wing in PVP. You might consider a heavy X-wing also.

Hey Kirsha, I'm currently using a Heavy X, but i find myself outmaneuvered by A-wings most of the time unless they are really bad pilots. I have come to realize that space pvp isnt always the best components, its a mix of that and skill with a joystick.

I haven't had the chance to fly a heavy X, so I don't know much about it. From what I've heard, it flies just like the normal version. If that is the case, then the A-wing would be my choice (If I did not want to fly the grevious or ARC).

What are you doing PVPing against A-wings? I think you mentioned before that you're using a crafted engine. The A-wings you are flying against probably have REd engines in them. That is the main edge they have on you. You are right though, it is components+skill. Without the skill, you're still dead.

The Heavy Z-95 is more manoeurable, about the same speed profile and has 95k mass. You can pack a LVL10 gun, a good shield, the reward engine and alot of other goodies with teh extra 30k-33k advantage over the 62k-65k A-wings.

I agree with Alyris on this one. I also figured (hoped?) I'd get used to the weapon spread on the hZ95, but I really loathe it. Before RoTW, I had my A-wing pretty much perfect, heh minus the pre-nerf engine I missed out on. Then of course, I jumbled everything up with I reground 3 pilot masteries. I've sorta hopped on the JSF bandwagon, but I won't fly it exclusively. I still love my A-wing. Just need to refit it again.

So, A-wing, vs hZ95? Definately A-wing. Only reason I still have my hZ95 setup is for group missions when they need someone small and fast to draw fire. I can fit a 117 crafted engine into it. lol
