Thread: VIDEO Nibekuu vs Star Destroyer: 1st Attempt

I know many pilots have done it, and destroy it very easily and quickly, lol.


I have made a video of my 1st attempt in soloing the Star Destroyer, its a little under 10MB. I hope you all enjoy.

Now, compared to how fast I destroy SDs now, I took a little too long in this video, lol. But hey, it was my first try, and the only ready chip i had was Shield to Shunt 4, which is a lifesaver, literally.

I agree, it's too easy with my advanced Xwing as well. the first time i did it i blew up all parts cept engine, reactorand bridgewith one pass each, and that was right after i aced too......


The hardest part of killing the ISD is the fighter escort , I havealmost been taken out by the aggressors and gunboats that it spawns, but not the ISD itself.


Edit: oh and BTW, nice flyby as it died. Really good angle

for my heavy X, I also took out everything but the bridge in one flyby, thanks to the overloads and my 3 weapons. A-wing only had an advanced blaster without overloads, lol, so it took a while

See how much nicer that is than the last guy who posted an ISD kill video? He came on and announced his uber skillz at killing the ISD solo, and then when someone else said they do it all the time, he said "nice, but not alot of people have the skill for this!"


Laughable.


I'll try and catch out your video when I get home. Blocked at work. Killing the ISD has become too formulaic though in my Adv. X-Wing. They need to make it harder.

yea, i can destroy it in less than 10 minutes by myself. dont mean to brag about it, but it is too easy once you have the right stuff for your ship


I did it with an a-wing with not that good stuff, and with only 1 ready chip, the Shield to Shunt 4. I mean as long as u have that ready chip, anyone can do it, just a question on how long it'll take you.

Pretty good for a 1st-time.


Question, in your first run at the primary shield your own front shield was blown away 90%. Your options were:



  • Straight on over a few more turrets to clear space, few more hits front and back

  • Pull up or left or both, few more hits on the back but clearfrom turrets asap

  • 180 degree turn, never a smart thing to do above a large quantity of turrets

  • Go right so every other turret can get a clear shot at your front, belly and ass while you fly overhead

You went to the right, in the name of the lord, why?


Tip to all: When you fly, visualize red orbs and cones around enemies, projecting 550m. Gunboats have a red orb, fighters have a red cone, Agressors have a red cone on the front and back. Your primary job is to stay out of the red, your secondary job is to get those guys in your cone of fire. If you do get stuck in the "red", your visualization helps you plot the shortest path out of it. Do it consequently and after a while you'll find it has become a basic part of your situational awareness that requires no consious effort.
