You may want to make sure you have the expansion activated. Also, check your FP levels. I've heard that the factional ones will not speak with you if you have too much FP for the other side.

Regarding faction levels, talking to a factional trainers with 0 prestige means you can join (pilot and ground both) ... at -1000 or so I wasn't allowed.

Hi, I haven't played in over a year or so, so I'm rusty at this game now lol....but when I go to a pilot trainer to start my pilot profession and get my first starship, the trainers just tell me to go away and say I have no business with them. Am I supposed to go overt for the appropriate faction first before talking to the trainer? or what am I supposed to do? Any help on what I need to do to get started with starships and stuff would be awesome.
