I wanted to start a post on tips for decorating your POB ships.

Thetwo I have are:

I have used crafting stations, that I have asked an artisan friend to make, and rename them hyperdrive unit, Starmap database, and command console. The command console is the SW crafting station, the hyperdrive unit is the general crafting station, and my starmap database is the food crafting station. You also get a little noise from these stations which adds to the atmosphere in the varions rooms of your POB ship.

In my VT, I have used the main databank to hide the front room from "prying eyes", and I use it as my ready room. I claimed the databanks from the vet awards, and they actually cover up the doorway so that unless you know it is there you would not be any the wiser.

I have an Imperial hologram between the pilot and ops chairs. You can't run between them but if you drop the holo on the floor you can /move it into place. Looks way cool and you can see it while flying if you look around.

Awesome ShadowWolf,

I have mine decked out in a similar way, although my crew quarters are none existant as up to now no one in my guild, was really into JTL lol

The other thing I forgot to mention is I have put a droid detection device over my loot box. I then use the furniture move commands to get the loot box just showing at the bottom where there is a gap. That way you can access the loot container and you have something cool covering it too.

I have also seen peepsplace a holo (xwing/TIE - dependant on your faction lol), inthe centre of thecontrol consoles, which looks quite autentic, provided that you have just a bit of the holo base showing.

I have a technical console on my VT that has the Corvette holo rotating above it (just the top of the emitter ring is visible).

Also, the ship can seem kind of dim and it's hard to find lights that are suitable without being too bright. I used some of the little "Naboo" wall lamps and moved them into the base of furniture like the big Data Terminal screen and the bottom of my Imperial Desk. This gives the surface of the desk a "reading lamp" glow without washing out the rest of the cabin.

A Metal Chair is almost a requirement for the window in the forward cabin. Droid chassis of various types are usefl on all POB ships and it's fairly inexpensive to obtain one named just as you want it. I have a Galley Droid (LE chassis) on my VT and a Cargo Loader (BLL chassis) on my YT-1300 (yes, it actually fits!)

Basically, the best advice for decorating is to decide on the purpose of each cabin (operations center, engineering section, crew quarters, captain's quarters, galley) and decorate accordingly. Factional themes are pretty simple to do with the abundance of banners, factional armor and decorations present in the game now, and there are all kinds of technical-looking geegaws that can be obtained from crafters or loot.

Sometime soon I have to stop playing long enough to post screenshots of my Decimator and my alt's YT-1300.
