Awesome ShadowWolf,
I have mine decked out in a similar way, although my crew quarters are none existant as up to now no one in my guild, was really into JTL lol
The other thing I forgot to mention is I have put a droid detection device over my loot box. I then use the furniture move commands to get the loot box just showing at the bottom where there is a gap. That way you can access the loot container and you have something cool covering it too.
I have also seen peepsplace a holo (xwing/TIE - dependant on your faction lol), inthe centre of thecontrol consoles, which looks quite autentic, provided that you have just a bit of the holo base showing.
I have a technical console on my VT that has the Corvette holo rotating above it (just the top of the emitter ring is visible).
Also, the ship can seem kind of dim and it's hard to find lights that are suitable without being too bright. I used some of the little "Naboo" wall lamps and moved them into the base of furniture like the big Data Terminal screen and the bottom of my Imperial Desk. This gives the surface of the desk a "reading lamp" glow without washing out the rest of the cabin.
A Metal Chair is almost a requirement for the window in the forward cabin. Droid chassis of various types are usefl on all POB ships and it's fairly inexpensive to obtain one named just as you want it. I have a Galley Droid (LE chassis) on my VT and a Cargo Loader (BLL chassis) on my YT-1300 (yes, it actually fits!)
Basically, the best advice for decorating is to decide on the purpose of each cabin (operations center, engineering section, crew quarters, captain's quarters, galley) and decorate accordingly. Factional themes are pretty simple to do with the abundance of banners, factional armor and decorations present in the game now, and there are all kinds of technical-looking geegaws that can be obtained from crafters or loot.
