Hi,

Can a freelance change from CoSec (or somthing) to Smugglers allaince with out strating all over...

No, but if you finished your current squadron you will get an xp bonus doing the next.


2nd tip: If you're staying within the same faction you can equip aship with topnotch components before dropping your current mastery. As soon as you're certed for thatship in your new squadron you can fly it even though you're not certed for the components. This makes Tier 2, 3 and sometimes Tier 4 real easy.

im a freelance pilot for the smugglers alliance simpley b/c thats pretty much where i thought i was supposed 2 go at the beggining. i am ace pilot and like being freelance but i have a few issues.


the fact that you have to double declair to go to deep space and that i cant go in overt really pisses me off this is not fair how we cant get faction points in space like the other factions.


im not sure if there is a ship for this but i did the crimson tie quest thinking i would just get the neutral verson of the ship seeing as rebels get their version but i got a crimson tie and im kinda mad cuz i cant even use it.


also if some one has a list of all the different special ships there are that would b cool cuz im not sure if i know em all

Read the FAQ for different ships.


In regards to the RGTIE - talk to Kashyyyk station and tell Rian you want a challenge, should set you on the path to a Vaksai.


As to the Deep Space faction - I agree, that does suck.

There is a reward for Freelance pilots in the Kashyyk stuff, but you have to talk to the main Kashyyk station instead of the Reb or Imp station. You then get a mish for the Vaksai experimental fighter. I hear you can actually get both the Vaksai and the RGTIE, if you're Freelance, btw.

true i got the crimson tie and the black sun ship but neither r worth flyin :/ and i cant fly the crimson tie so im tryin 2 sell it

Sounds like nothing's gonna make you happy to be honest.

You might check in on this 'Jedi' thing I keep hearing about on the ground, sounds right up your alley.



If a poisonous snake is dropped on top of you from a gyrocopter, don’t freak out and shoot your own driver with your arrow gun, making the vehicle lose control and blow up. Its probably just as scared as you are.

Are you KIDDING me? the Vaksai (when properly outfitted) is absolutely AMAZING! You, being Ace, should have NO problem making this the great ship that it can be!

i was freelance for a while and ya, its sucks not being able to get FP in deep space, but hey, if you want faction join one.

lotts of things make me happy i just wish that there would b more ppl in space id love some pvp and thats just y i was mad at the freelance thing cuz theres nuthen else 2 do but grind faction there and finding out that freelance cant was just kinda a downer



also with the black sun ship i havent outfitted it yet but seeing as its not as small as my JSF and has one gun just dident seem appealing mabe ill try it


and im also tryin the so called 'jedi' thing just stuck in the village right now... fun

OK see, we share some common ground there!

I too wish there was more PvP in space, and to that end I have started grinding up a pilot over on Starsider. I suggest you try it if you haven't already, it's a breath of (pardon the pun) fresh air up there.

I went Freelance with one of my alts specifically for the YT-1300, and I'll admit to being a little peeved at the declaration status as well, but as I'm an Imperial on the ground with all my 'toons, it wasn't a big dealbreaker for me. I CAN see and agree how it could be a big downer for some.

I suggest you TRY outfitting the Vaksai before you dismiss it out of hand, might take some time but she can be quite the contender. I've flown through more than a few vapor clouds and debris fields in mine.

Well...the Jedi thing...guess we can't agree on everything all the time.
