Ok I have tried this mission 4 times now. The mission is to patrol Dant space for a bit then finally come upon a black sun YT-1300 and it's escorts to destroy. I can draw the escorts away and take them out, no problem there. The YT....come on give me a break! There is no @*&#@ way a YT can turn like that. I have gotten his shields to 10%. I cannot stay in his blind spot due to the insane turn rate he has. Oh yeah, and he pursues if you boost out. I really wanted to solo the corsec badge, anyone who has done this have a little trick up their sleeve? I know others have done it solo, what tactic am I missing/screwing up? Thanks.

oddly enough you can do these fairly easily due to the fact that the craft pursue after you when you run. every system you go to has a Space station you can heal at. If you're taking severe damage boost away toward the station. /comm it 1k out and start healing youself up. Don't do 100% do 25% 25% 50% 50%. Its not hard to do simply because now you can use the station as a shield of your own.

you have the right idea as well. Kill the escort fighters then the YT. if you don't want to use the space station for a heal and want to take it out as you are then you need to do as you did and destroy the fighters. Don't worry about trying to find the blind spot on the YT. Boost out 1000m or more match speed and turn to face it then punch it up to full throttle. Fire everythign you got. You will take damage. after you fly by repeat this step until its destroyed.

You can also disable it as well then take out its guns....its all up to you.

load up a Rhik with your best equipment with all your overloads running and just go toe to toe with it. ignore the escorts till you are done with the YT. It is only a tier 4 and can't take too much of a pounding. but you with a crafted L7 shield (about 1900 f/b) and CTSS4 shouldn't have a problem taking the damage it puts out while your guns (suggest crafted L7 advanced blasters with < .27 refire) with WO3 rip it appart.... quickly.

Edit: I think when I did this one I actually stopped in front of the thing and shot it till it blew. The escorts had just turned back toward me after the head on pass and I turned and dealt with them.

POBs aren't a problem, going head-to-head against them first is easy and it works. It's the gunboats that you're better off picking off the fighter escort first if you can.
