Thread: Smuggler's Alliance Questions/Problems...

Ok, so I transferred over from Bria to Kettemoor, and while on Bria I joined the Freelancer faction and started with the Corellian trainer in Coronet. I leveled up to 1/1/1/1 and was shy a few thousand for my first tier 2 skill. I've since gotten confortable in Kettemoor and went to see Dravis in the Cantina in Eisley for missions. He tells me that he has duty missions, and I can choose from 4.
So I've chosen each one more than once, and completed each of them (they show under, "Completed Quests"). Now, I've managed to get the rest of my experience for my first tier 2 skill, and the trainer wont train me. He says I'm not ready yet (i've capped on XP at 60K).
So what's the deal? I want to do the Smugglers Alliance missions and work my way up to Ace through them... but, I can't get past the duty missions or get trained. I've gone to Jabba's to look for the trainer there too but don't have access to the palace and no ticket to get in.
Am I stuck?

there is also a trainer in the Lucky Despot in Eisley. Up the stairs like you are going to see Lady Valarian, cept hang a left. Get in the elevators and go down. The pilot trainer should be there. See if that helps.

umm except you said you started in coronet so that means your trainer is actually in coronet

That trainer is a Valarian trainer... I'm looking to join the Smuggler Alliance.
And I started in Coronet with their force... but I want to get into the Smuggler Alliance to gain the Ace badge through them. What do I need to do to get that. I've heard you either go through Dravis or the trainer in Jabba's palace. However I don't have the ticket to get in there. Any ideas?

Looks like you started with CorSec. You actually will have to go back to the trainer in Coronet and retire from that, then start with Smuggler's Alliance in Mos Eisley. Sorry

Ok... I went back to CorSec to quit... and theywouldn't let me quit. I tried killing a skill and it saidI needed to see the Tatooine Pilot Guild's Founder to quit the faction (Freelancer). I want to STAY as Freelancer, just I want to work and level through the Smuggler's Alliance.
Do I need to quit Freelancer, then rejoin then go see the Smuggler's Alliance first? I have no idea what to do.

Yes I am afraid thats the only way to do it. You can't gain skills in lets say corsec for example then expect to switch factions but keep your skills you earned with Corsec. You need to go to the retired freelance pilot at the Bestine hotel (gil i think his name is) and retire all your skills and then talk to Dravvis.
It shouldn't upset you that much to drop just 1/1/1/1 I can get that in my sleep.

Yeah, I ended up doing that. 
I wish I didn't have to... but hey, that's how it goes. Maybe some day they'll allow people to switch "factions" with their skills intact.

You have to drop your skills completely to resign from a faction. So yes, you do go talk to the guy on Tatooine, then speak to your new contact in Mos Eisley to join the Smugglers.
