Thread: Living in Yacht? Possible?

Hey folks...recently I have been thinking about moving all my stuff into my yacht, which I believe I can do. Was curious as to whether one can logout and in on the yacht, or if you have to land to logout. I am at work, so I can't try this right now, just was wondering.

Oh and I am not master pilot but close...was wondering if you could do the same with a master Imperial ship.

Thanks!

You can log out in a yacht, but if I remember correctly, you load back in at the starport you most recentlytook off from. (I could be mistaken, haven't done it in a while...)

I have both my Decimator and Y-8 fully decorated. Decimator is more of a troop carrier/Imperial Command Vessel but the Y8 I have setup with bedrooms and a cantinna, as well as office space.

Personally I still have a PA hall as my primary residence (spending quite a bit of money right now to have it redecorated) as well as a large house for space loot storage.

Just so you are aware... do not have 3 POB ships in your datapad, there is a bug that makes it so they cannot be launched if you have more than 2.

Thanks for the responses so far guys.

So I can logout in a ship, but log back into the starport? I just don't want to accumulate any wounds or anything like that.

Part of my motivation for this are the BH gank squads who look for me when I log in. (Since they know my residence.) If I'm in space, I can keep em guessing

I don't mind BHs coming, but after I load in would be nice.

Thanks for that Veg... I just happened to have dismantled my VT-49 this week anyways cause I (at the time) didn't realize I could hold 6 ships now instead of just 3. Getting the Mining vessel is on my to-do list for this weekend or next week.

Oh, and yacht decorating is great fun. I had mine done by experts as a comfy and relaxing "club" for guild meetings and have since continued to make changes here or there as I got new decor and loot items.

I'm a MBH (no stress, I only hunt PvE considering the BH/Jedi BS that goes on) here's my suggestion to you.

I believe if you logout in space when you login you will be at the station you launched from.

For example, you launched from Doaba on Correllia. Log off in space. When you log in you are standing at Doaba starport.

It either works that way or, you launch from Doaba. Fly to Endor. Log off in space. When you log back in you are at one of the starports on Endor.

I suggest testing it out and altering your habits determined by what results you get. Either way, you'll login within meters of a ship terminal and should be able to get back into space withing about 2-5 minutes depending on lag.

To answer your other question, no you do not get wounds or take damage like when you eject. I do it all the time. Unless it is changed, when you log back on you will be at the starport where you ship was docked last and it is available at the starship terminal.

Vegitta is right.

I live in space some with my Yacht. I log in and am standing by the starship in the port I was last at, or the planet I was above when I logged out. So the BHs may get you if you load and there is one standing in the port circle, but if you log in and run to the Starship terminal and load fast enough, you can be back on the yacht and on your way.
