Thread: So, what's your FPH? (faction points per hour)

Well, Lithium ate my huge post so I'm going to be briefer this time.

How much faction can you get per hour in space? 10k? What about with your group helping you? 20k? 30, 40? even higher?...

Tomo's GCW thread got me thinking, thinking that perhaps people weren't really dwelling on the purpose of Deep Space and the oppertunities it holds.

Some math:

a gunboat gives roughly 200fp, yeah i know that's not exact, i'm rounding up to make things easier. 3 gunboats to a spawn.

that's 600fp total, not counting escorts. suppose you have a group of 3. if all of you fire on the gunboat that's 600fp apiece right?

so what right? well you just killed that spawn 3x as fast. well what happens if you reset the zone first? what happens if you sit by the station and milk the spawns coming off it? for every spawn destroyed a new spawn comes PLUS the original spawn rate.players have been doing this for months and keeping a lid on it and i think the lid should be blown off. this is the real point of deep space, if it was a true battlefield it would be empty. if the ships were meant to occupy players time they would be sparcer like in Kessel. Deep Space is a carrot meant to intice people to come to the zone en masse and provide the spark that the GCW needs to heat up.

So let's hear it, what's your FPU? New to the tactic? Grab some friends and give it a shot. (Yes, I know the freedom station is bugged now, imps will have to make do for a while till it's fixed).

oh just to keep things in perspective here, 30,000 faction points translates to roughly 3 million credits on most servers.any player can hit 10k an hour in DS without using this milking tactic, so that's 1 million credits per hour.

can you imagine you, and your entire group making3 million credits per hour? is it possible? Can this kind of potential be rivaled anywhere in the game? (aside from AA hunting, which is not nearly as consistant)

As a rebel pilot, im GUESSING around 8 to 9K FP an hour doing the tier 4 destroy mission. Can take out teir 4's alot faster than 5's.

As an imperial pilot, i make about the same in DS doing teir 5's and GBs.

Speaking of which, DS is more of a faction farm to imperials than it is to rebels.
Rebels acutally have a much stronger DS presence than the Empire, hence giving imperials more to shoot at. The exact opposite is true of normal space. Rebels have more to shoot at then imperials do.

Ultimatly id say the faction farming advantage goes to the rebels. THey have a teir4 destroy duty, plus serveral places to choose from that spawns teir 4's, making them harder to hunt down if your "overt hunting". Imperials on the other hand have fewer choices, and are subsequently funneled into fewer areas, making them easier to hunt.

Rebels dont need DS at all, imps do.

I think your missing the point of my post. 10k per hour is not the high mark to shoot for. 30k per hour and above is. no destroy mission will produce results like that, nor will a group doing duties, only the constant 10-12 mob spawn of a reset Deep Space.

I know people out there are doing this in a group and raking in the cash. Let's hear from some of you, what's the high water mark?

Don't believe this is possible? Go try it with a group for a week, then come back and report.
