Thread: Other loot besides ship parts

Since I've been playing (just over a week) I have only looted ship parts, but today I looted a log. It talks about the black sun and some Detritus Satellites. So now I'm thinking maybe there are other types of loot. Anyone find anything other then the ship parts?

There's various data disks, they're all flavour, to help with immersion.
I think there's at least 1 for every NPC space faction, I'm not certain however.

And a Black Sun Helmet, that you get from (duh) Black Sun pilots (aces, to be exact).

I looted alot of those things during my grind to master. My only question is is there acctually any use for them? Do they have a purpose?

Hey guys. I was just thinking that maybe I know what these disks are for. If you get into the area of Jabbas palace, there is a female NPC called Borell (sp)or something not too far from where Ephant Mon is. After talking to her a bit you expect to take a mission but you end up "Searching for her information" with no mission waypoint. She metions various factions and having a problem with someone and them owing the people money. I think that maybe you are supposed to get 3 (or more ) of the disks from various factions. The reason i say this is that I think there were 3 planets listed as well as the factions we need to get information from. If you think you have each of the disks and dont know for sure what to do with them, perhaps you can take them to her.
I could be way off, but this is just an idea.

i was just considering posting something about this, when i saw your thread... so far i've found:
not sure why some of us are prone to looting this stuff, while other seem to only get ship parts though... i know i haven't killed more baddies than some other folks who have found nada...

Read the about the new loot in forums...
Somewhere in those posts it says that part of the revamp is to be able to combine a number of the looted datapads, diarys, documents .. whatever to create a different "story" or item. The single documents are chapters in a story; maybe.
Something like putting 2 or more damaged datapads together to make one working datapad and then being able to read the data contained in teh working one.
I got a wanted poster of Liea - dont know where becwase I don't pay atentin to the loot messags I get.
BTW when I look at Leia's picture in th poster I see Han in earmuffs.
