I've tried several times today(post patch) to install a Capacitor to Shield Shunt 4 ready chip using the program UI with the result ending up in losing the chip and the droid/FC not being programmed.

After I click on commit changes and click OK after verifying that I do indeed want to install the CtSS4 program, the dialog box goes away but the changes are not reflected in the droid/FC program list. I open them up and the chip is not there. It is also gone from the inventory so it just get's lost. I've burned through at least 4 chips and spent about 60k on some of them because I am a rebel pilot and can't program them myself.

This needs to be hotfixed asap!

I noticed that myself tonight (although I was burning directly from my own program list, not using chips).

I think there may be a bug in the capacity check. I was allowed to load up a level3 shield shunt, even though I didn't actually have room in the flight computer for it. When I went to examine the computer, the program was not listed. In my datapad, I went to the FC's radial menu and used....."examine computer contents" (or something, can't remember off hand and I just logged out). This brings up a window showing the computer "container", along with the loaded programs as disk icons, their size, and the storage capacity of the computer. Are you close to max capacity? I was at something like 62 of 70 (a lvl 3, keeping it only until I gather up a couple burned chips to load into my upgraded FC), and level 3 programs take up 20 units of space. IIRC, level 4 is 30 or 35...

If you want to keep this computer (either can't or don't want to upgrade), try unloading the rebellion programs, since you do not need a chip to program those back in. Then load the Privateer programs from a chip (assuming you have any left), and arrange your "natural" programs around the remaining space.

I believe there is an issue with allowing you to add a program in the Interface but the system then deciding you don't have the space and throwing the program out. One of the things I found at the same time is that no programs take less than 5 spaces in the FC/Droid, even if it says it does. The sizes of the first level programs were changed from 1 to 5 with the Interface change and that may have somthing to do with the problems you are having. I may be mistaken, but I believe level 4 programs were brought down from 30 to the 25 they take up currently.
