Thread: Hey Tomo, could you pass this idea concerning loot along?

I shudder to think how much decent/good/excellent/uber loot is getting destroyed when being sold to the chassis dealers by pilots that don't know how to interpret stats...so I propose the following:

If space loot can't be coded to have yellow text on certain components or LIST them as Exceptional or Legendary, perhaps when a pilot who doesn't know what he's holding tries to sell an extraordinary piece of loot for chicken feed, the Chassis Dealer could respond with the following if there's a stat on the loot that falls outside the generally-accepted "norms" for the loot tables:

"Whoa...hey, normally I'd take a nice piece like this off your hands in a heartbeat, but it'd be criminal for you to sell this for what I'm paying. Are you sure you want to sell this part to me?" [Yes/No/Stop Conversing]

Of course, the bad thing about asking the Devs to set up "norms" for ship loot is that it'd give them the incentive to mess with the min/maxes again - I WANT another uber L6, but I'm not quite there in loot values.
