have any of my fellow pilotshad this happen before....Sunday just gone i dropped Master Corsec pilot to start a rebel pilot carrer, every thing went well to start dropeed corsec joined rebel sqaudron and shot into space in my new shiny headhunter. After 20mins zapping tie's thought i would see how much xp i'd knocked up, on checking i found to my horror that i was minus 747,880 xp.

Thinking it was a bug i submited a ticket only to be told last night that it is normal...as you can guess this is not the news i was hoping for, as making that much xp back in a basic ship will take longer than mastering rebel pilot.

please is this horror true.

or should i get back on there case to sort it

If there's one thing this last week has taught me, it's better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it.

When you dropped the proffession you had a buff going. Buffs applies their bonus to the overall change in XP..

so....

Lets say you had 20million prestige(experience). You drop your piloting so that that -20 million xp change.

However with the buff...you add 10% of that...so that actual change is -22 million xp change...

20 million - 22 million = -2 million.

That's why your in the hole.

Might want to check with your local CSR to see if they can fix the problem for you.

For guys changine proffesions, MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT HAVE BUFFS RUNNING WHEN YOU CHANGE PROFFESIONS!

right ive accepted that ill have to grind the xp back and ive made a good start , but my concern now lies with prestige points im minus 54k.

im i right in thinking that i need prestige points to get into deep space, and i cant make prestige points until i master pilot ( can you say catch 22)...you can see where im heading here cant you.

how im i going to get master pilot if i cant get into deep space to kill covette

any one advice plzzz

Ummm...you kill the vette for master in kessel, not deepspace.

If a poisonous snake is dropped on top of you from a gyrocopter, don’t freak out and shoot your own driver with your arrow gun, making the vehicle lose control and blow up. Its probably just as scared as you are.
