Thread: I HATE space. Tier 2 imp inquisition question

Trying to get IMP technology 2 from Lord...something standing outside the Emporers retreat. ..Now, he sends me on a mission to "inspect" a mercenary courier ship in the Naboo system. I go there, I inspect. It then says something like, this is the ship or contents you're looking for, dock with the ship. So I try and dock. Ship denies your request.
So I was told to take out the engines. Fine.
I shot at the thing for TWENTY minutes! and guess where the engines and shields were? 100 freaking percent....How can this be? I hit the thing plenty of times, and his engine percentage NEVER moved...
Is there something I'm doing wrong here? I just want to complete this thing so I can at least pilot a TIE/in fighter and not this pos trainer...

I wish i could find the ship you have to inspect.
I'vetried this mission a few times and can never find the ship 
.

I think I know what your problem *might* be.
Occasionally, you'll take your mission, go to your waypoint, at the same time, someone else has taken the same mission, you'll get 2 targets in the area. It sounds like you were targeting the wrong spawn.
In the case of many specific missions, you can't damage someone else's target.

Check the guns you are using.... make sure they aren't disruptors. Other than that... try bringing along some extra muscle... ie afreelancebuddy with lots of guns.

Ehhh...I don't know man..I only saw one of these targets there..
I occasionally would get his shields down to like, 93 percent, but if I didn't keep hitting him over and over again, he'd be back up to 100 within seconds...I just don't get it..
But his engine percentage NEVER dropped...and I hit him overall a good 50-60 times over the course of twenty minutes...Should a god dam* tier 2 mission be this hard...geez...
again,
I HATE space...I'm glad I paid 25 dollars to be able to travel from planet to planet...

I'm not sure what to do. You obviously have him targeted like we were worrying last week. Have you contacted a CSR about this ingame?

As said above, check your guns. Also you need to get through his shields and armor first before you can disable him. If you can only get his shields down to around 90% before they recharge you might need new guns. Disruptors are good against armor but not against shields so make sure that isn't the problem.

Just for the record and the future:
Disruptor: High V Armour, Low V Shields
Ion Cannons: High V Shields, Low V Armour
Blaster: Average on Both
That's a general rule of thumb. Looted and RE'd weapons get more complicated.
