Thread: Y-8 Need info on set up ( Minning Solo )

Ok, I still can't search the forum, is it broken? But the next question is......Can you mine solo in the Y-8? If so where do you put the minning laser and tractor beam. I.E. weapons slot 0, 1, or 2? Also is the y-8 still borked?

Technically speaking, you can mine solo using the Y8. But it is incredibly inefficient. You'll need to put the mining laser in Weapon Slot 2 for solo mining, and you won't be able to use the tractor beam.

The Y-8 is not meant for use as a solo ship. If you are looking to mine alone, go with a Krayt, Rihk, Opp, B-Wing, either X-Wing version, or Firespray.

A Kimo makes an excellent mining ship as well. much cheaper than a Krayt if you plan to have a dedicated mining ship.
