First off, wp the Reb station, then fly out to the vette and its guard, avoid hitting the vette till you have destroyed the Escoerting ships, these are quite easy, i am 4/4/4/4 pilot, but i guess, long as you have the Xwing, and tier 4 components you will be fine. Once the Escort is destroyed, target the vette which should not be agro on you, then target weapon 5. Fly right up to it and hit it with a few lazer blasts. Once this lazer is out, you are safe on this side of the vette. Nxt fly infront of it and loop round and take out the Shield and Secondarry shield, this will free up the engine. Now this is the borin part, just fly in behind the vette till it gets to 5k from the reb station (i clocked it, and it will escape at 4.8k from the station). Once its at 5k, blow the engines, let your buddies take control, then escort it back. This way, i did not encounter one Gun Boat, only a few tier 5 fighters, which the guns on the vette can help you out with.

PS. Droid commands also help. Weap Oload 3, Cap Oload 3, Reactor Oload 3, Engine Oload 3, and Cap to shield shunt 3 are the programs i have in a lvl4 astromech. You will have to get these off Neutral and Imp pilots though.
