Anybody ever try this? Is it possible? Before you start, I am not a newb, been in JTL since 10/27/04. I have read and reread the FAQ, and have spent over 2 hours doing search. No info on this could I find, and I have missed out on 2 hours of space fighting/farming/questing becuase of it. Please read my entire post, and comment if you have any useful information (people posting posts that do not answer the question is a pet peeve of mine....get over it).
I want to do the squadrons due to the content. I have been SA for long time, recently did Rebel Vortex, and just completed Imperial Inquisition. Because I like to figure things out on my own, I hit the Tier 4 bug in Inquisition with enough xp to train all 4 boxes. After hitting each bug, I got trained, and after taking the same mission 4 times (trying different stuff each time to fix) I searched the forums and found out I was going too fast. Doing it slow got me done, and then I got sent on to the Admiral for my Kessel duty. I completely missed 4 Tier 4 missions! (as an exploit, you can do this on purpose to avoid whatever I missed...). However, I WANT to do it...so, after Aceing in Inquisition, I went to the guy in front of Theed palace and dropped out of the Navy. I go back to Kadaara to take it over, and the Inq. mission starter says I have to see one of the mission givers in the Imperial Retreat (as if I am still an Inquisition Squad member). I goto the Storm Squadron mission giver, and he accepts me, then back to the Theed guy to drop it (hoping this would 'reset' the Inq. missions). No dice. Still sending me to the retreat. Back to SS, and he lets me back in.
Question: Can I redo the Inquisition Squad? How? I am going though the steps to drop and retake, but it won't let me? Can any/all squads be redone? I was under the impression the answer is yes, if not, please advise, cause I wanted to end up as an SA Freelancer when I am done, and if I cannot retake my starting squad, I have to plan accordingly.

well im not sure if theres something unique about II that makes it unrepeatable, but I get the "non-CP" messages from CP trainers now that I mastered as AH in rebel...the rewards are all the same for all the Imp factions, though, so if all you want is the tier 4 rewards, take Black Epsilon instead, then you can go back to SA

I would also like to know this for definite - I would like to return to corsec after I have completed the other squadrons, can this be done?
Is it only that you can't do the same quadron twice in a row? Can you enroll in a different squadron then return? Do you have to go to a completely different faction before you can return?
All interesting questions.

So far I have done...
1.) Take Black Epsilon/Imp upto Tier 3 and quit, try to get back into Inquisition, no dice. (cannot pick up Black Epsilon either BTW)
2.) Taken and dropped Storm Squadron, no change
3.) Taken and dropped Corsec/Freelancer, no change.
4.) Taken, got 1 box of xp in Corsec/Freelancer, no change.
I'm getting kinda sick traveling around in shuttles, me being a Master x3 pilot and all....
I sent a ticket in, waiting to see response. I DO have 3 ships in my stable leftover and not re-deeded from my time as an SA pilot...thinking this might possibly have somehting to do with it, as the Pilot FAQ says I must redeed ALL my ships (YT is being used for storage though...so I didn't due to this). BUt I had no problem picking up Vortex REB and any other squadron, jsut cannot get back into them after leaving the Tier 1 trainer.

My ticket response:
"This is CSR OkimiaG at your service today. I understand that you are facing problems with your black epsilon quest. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused to you. Black epsilon faction is an intened game feature, and players can only join either the rebel or imperial factions only. Furthermore, you cannot reset the quest. I hope this will resolve your issue."
So I'm screwed. The missions are bugged...I missed the loot and the content, and can never get them again. Please take note pilots, when doing all 9 aces, you cannot retake a 10th one to get back to where you want to be...yer 9th pilot is the last you will ever be. And don't drop a squad mid-ace, you CANNOT pick it back up...
Signing off...

That response makes me think the CSR doesn't know what you are asking... I do not have any experience with this, so I can only make guesses, but I hope one of them might help you.
Did you drop your Imperial Faction? That might affect things if you did.
Can you have six ships in your pad (RotW) or only three? If you can have only three, maybe you need to free up a space for the Trainer to give you the TIE. Storm squadron may not have needed it because the script was different.
I have heard people mention being more than nine-times aces, so for at least some squadrons that is possible.

Thanks for responding. Everything I have read, and everything I have heard, seems to indicate that you can re-take a squadron, but for some reason I can't. I feel like I am missing something obvious...but have no clue what it is. I have 3 ships in my datapad, so the room is not the issue. (The trainer does not even talk to me to possibly give me another ship, they both just send me to my Tier 2 trainer as if I were still a pilot fo their squadron that had completed Tier 1). I have RotW so, I can have 6. I have imp faction; I can pick up and drop storm squadron to get a ship...
Please, a pilot out there has done this...let me know what I am doing wrong...or is the CSR right????

Hmm - I quit SA halfway through before I aced CP. I'm due a change of squadron, so I'll try and get into SA again and let you know what happens. At least then we'll know if it's a problem with your character, or whether it's happening with everyone.
But please - any pilots out there who have retaken squadrons, could you post with info.

Yours might bea specific case, and there might be a way to fix it, but a better pilot than I probably needs to help you. But you can do more than 9 aces, because Ducimus is up to like 17....
I'd suggest PMing him and asking him to look at this thread...

I'll test retaking Inquisition probably on Saturday, I need to switch from Storm Squadron to Black Epsilon anyway. It will, however, wait until AFTER the Starsider PvP event.
