I finished my first tier 3 SS mission and took a break today. When I returned at 3pm est everything in the galaxy (in space) was and still is doing 10x my speed. I not running slow...theyre really faaaaaaaaaaaast! At first I thought this was some kind of lag, but 12 hours of non-stop lag?? is this some wacky bug or something??

I had a problem like that when I was having joystick issues. Um, don't remember how it was fixed though.

Long shot, but.. I don't suppose by any chance you have an Asus A7N8X motherboard do you? I have one, and this sometimes happens to me and also happens to other people in all sorts of games that have this board - there appears tobe timing issues with the board that I can't seem to resolve. Its probably unrelated, but just on the offchance you did.

I don't have one, but it's not really a long shot either. The Asus was considered by many to be the best nForce2 board and it's wildly popular. When i built my comp, I opted for the Epox Ep8RDA+ which is IMO tied with the Asus for first place as it shows colors better when using photoshop and has a better bios for overclocking
. The thing is though...theyre both nForce2 chipsets and therefore my board could very likely have the same problems as the Asus. I have beel flying JTL for about 2 months though without any problems until now so would this still apply to me?

nForce2 chipsets have a history of problems with this game. Timing is the No. 1 issue.

I have the A7N8X but have had no problems so far. The BIOS has two default performace settings, one for maximum stability and one for maximum performace. Perhaps you could reset the board to the default for maximum stability.
