Thread: My booster isn't boosting

For some reason my booster stopped working. It has full hitpoints/armor, I have spare mass and reactor power. Is anybody else having problems? I've tried logging, waiting for server reset, swapped boosters, rebinded the boost command, etc, but no luck. Anybody have any suggestions?

Haven't experienced it myself, but from what I've heard, this is a known bug for some people. The resolution is to unload your ship, re-deed, then generate it and load it all back up again. Supposedly this fixes it.

If this does not work, power cycle the PC. I had this problem and was told to do this. It worked for me.

Make sure you have not accidentally remapped that particular key (in this case "b")

This is a known issue. If redeeding doesnt work map /togglebooster (/boostertoggle ?) to you're booster button and use that instead. That should take care of it.

Happened to me... here is the work-around/fix for this problem:
1) Powerdown the system... leaving it off for 10sec or greater (to clear the cache in the system). Power backup and waalaa! You will probably be back in business.
2) If the above does not work... try to shutdown for alittle longer. If the problem continues... then setup this macro:
"/boosterOn" -- for boosters on
"/boosterOff" -- for boosters off
"/boosterToggler" -- for a toggle switch for boosters ===> *this is the easiest one to have*
