I'm sure this question makes me an uber noob and unworthy of the ship, but how in the world do I access the lower rear turret? Neither I nor my tailgunner could fire from it.

I'm under the impression that you need two people to go along with you. Your first gunner gets the top turret, and the second gunner gets the other.
