I think he's asking "Is there a Heavy TIE Advanced?" As far as I can tell the answer is NO, but TIE Advanced's are pretty heavy, why would you needa heavier one? Personally I still use my interceptor, I know it's a little light on mass, but I'm also a shipwright so I know how to really tweak it.

That would have made more sense, yes.
Surely better to write what one is thinking than to think one's writing what they're not
I want a Heavy TIE Bomber!
One of those would be heavy enough to have it's own moon!

Sorry for missing the 'there' there. Why would I want a heavier one? Because the Rebels have a heavy x-wing with 180K mass which makes it a better PVE ship than our Oppressor, andnot to mention it has more than twice the mass of the redtie that we have. It would be nice if the imps get a heavier T/A too. The regular T/A is 65K mass, and with all the new heavy noviceships and new EPIII ships, I think it's obsolete, no matter how youtweak it. Oh, and the modified ships are nothing better than their unmodified counterparts, they just look different that's all.

Better yet, give the Rebels a heay a-wing as well. And up the mass of the red tie to 130K.

Hehe, I've flown an x-wing, and even though it has much more mass it's profile is so much bigger than a TIE.
I think that if changes must be made, then perhaps they should bring the new ships masses more in-line with existing ships masses, after all a week ago the mass of a TIE Advanced wasn't much of a complaint.

According to this Friday Feature on the new ships, there should be a "Modified" TIE Advanced that "incorporates solar-strakes increasing power distribution. "
Well there's a definite pattern to the new ships which tells me that there probably isn't a Heavy version of the TIE advanced, here's my take on the new ships atm (obviously the mining ship is open for all):
New SW ships:
Imp = Heavy TIE Fighter
Rebel = Heavy Z-95
Neutral = Heavy Scyck (sp)
thats a bit of a pain... as the Jedi fighter/Grevious Fighterjust beats the new Royal GuardInterceptor stat wise (2 weps)- and utterly pounds the T/A and Awing - in PvP...
And it looks like the Heavy Xwing beats both the Opp and Krayt in PvE...
Dark days for the Imps.. good job we're better pilots ![]()
As far as i know there should be a heavy tie advanced... but either it was not discovered yet or they took it out again. Maybe one of our beta testers could elaborate ![]()

Well being a better pilot is more a factor in PvP... and considering the JSF is utterly overpowered you imps shouldn't complain ![]()
