This is starting to annoy me.

The new target boxes ( blue / red) around all

ships in space are making use of the the radar a joke . For some reason you can see

a ship at well over radar detection distance because of the new target boxes around them.

Will there be a fix to sort this out?

It's being made more arcadish on purpose (look what they did to Serious Sam when that was ported to a console), but the least they can do is give us the option to turn them off!!

Multi-Player is what brings the SWG world alive (real people, other players, make SWG so wonderfully dynamic). I just don't treat SWG like it was a chat room, I don't play to socialize and I resent forced grouping!"

I personally like the targetting boxes but it would be nice for those who don't like them to turn them off indeed.

The target boxes add a lot of video work, and have cause a lot of slowdowns for me. Personally feel they are a big part of why so many people are having trouble in DS since the CU. They also detract from my overall immersion in the game (I am on the list of people who felt the "this is your mission" boxes are overbearing).

An option to turn them off would make me happier. I'd much rather have input from the target I'm shooting, the targets I need to complete my mission, and be able to easily ignore the rest.

There should be options to turn off the boxes for different targets. Such as only having them show up on hostile craft.

Thisproblem is also compounded by there being WAY more traffic in the sectors than before the CU. I constantly see 8-10 craft hypering in every few minutes (syncronized hypering)and when you use the 'Y' key to see what's out there you have to hit it 10 times or more to get something other than an asteroid chunk (usually at the edge of the system). Thinking about it, they could likely impoved responsiveness by simply disappearing asteroid chunks at the ends of the system (less items to keep track of and send to the player).
