Thread: Can ship weapons be disabled in space?

I was just wondering! Im trying out mining, mining laser from quest aint worth jack in a dog fight.

So i was wanting to know, i have mining laser equiped and 2 combat lasers, can i disable the combat lasers and just use the mining laser in space? or disable the mining laser and use the combat lasers? this would be really handy.


If i can do this could someone explain how? I'm really fed up with the lack of manuals from Sony for all this new stuff.

There are manuals - I believe both on their website, and in the game's root directory.


You can disable/enable weapons in groups. I believe the default key for this is "G" when you're in space, but check your options.


The mining laser works with regular weapons still enabled. For those first mining missions it's just as easy to keep your regular weapons running at the same time. I was firing the mining laser and two normal guns at the same time, helps when switching to pirate groups quickly.

And i never new we had manuals in root now my printers red hot!
