I talked to this guy on kashyyk that told me I had to take a message to the Corellian Enginereering Corp base on Talus. Is that the guy you have to talk to start space mining. I also couldn't find the base anywhere, he didn't give me a waypoint either but thats the way quests work right.

Yes. That is the correct mission.

Also you have to read the text when NPCs talk to you LOL Its not a base. It base of operations

You can click on your quest log for information about where to go.

Go to the cantina in Daeric on Talus and speak with Thom Steele. He'll give you the first mission which is to fly around Corellian space and get ridof some competition. After that mission, go speak to him again and he'll give you a small cargo container and a Mark I Mining Laser for you ship and ask that you collect 250 units of a some space resource.

THANK YOU !!! its soo irritating when people say they dont know what to do when the dude tells you what to do. dont just click the top awnser and run off!!!!!!! i use to answer people, but now i send them back to ask. but then i get "i cant remember where he is"

pay attention people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

not to mention there is like 30 other posts telling you what to do

As a side note, if you have a PoB ship already (YT, Decimator, Nova)and a veterans's reward yacht, you CANNOT fly the Y-8.

SOE 'neglected' to inform us that they imposed coding to only allow you two ships with 'interiors'.

Which, quite frankly, has me aggrevated to no end, since I had to discover this firsthand. SOE mentioned this nowhere.
